- Angel's Den is a Home Boarding and Doggy Daycare in Colorado. We offer small group play and fun activities for your pups during their stay here.
In this video, we review one of our favorite puzzles, Dog Brick by Nina Ottosson (Level 2). We love this one as this can be used for meal time as well as play time.
PROS:
-it holds more food compared to other puzzles (1-2 cups)
-it provides many different actions (lifting, sliding, opening flap)
-it is challenging enough without making the dog frustrated
-it is not easy for dog to flip over the whole puzzle
CONS:
-it might not be dishwasher safe (no sign on the box/puzzle), we hand wash ours with soap and warm water
Featuring:
Roxy - 9 month old Great Pyrenees & Anatolian Shepherd mix. She has been coming to Angel's Den since she was 4 months old.
Angel - 1.5 year old mixed breed (red heeler, golden, lab, GSD, ++). She is the host in Angel's Den.
Dog 1 - SPEED (can't knock it since it works)
Dog 2 - Efficient and fully figured it out
thanks!!
Bruh my bichon just growled and barked at it after 5 minutes of scratching the corner of the puzzle LMAO 😂 we’ll try again tomorrow
I cannot wait to do this one with my Xhavier! Got it today!
My 8 month old Great Pyrenees can't seem to do it and I showed him how multiple times and he just sats there confusedly after licking the lids any advice on how to get him to do it here?
@@MartialArtswithLucyLu put something in there they can’t resist. Peanut butter or peanut butter on the food. Just a thought
My terrier mix figured in out in about 30 minutes. It’s a great way to slow her eating down and she still loves it. She hears the parts moving and comes running.
Thank you for the review! Suggestions on other puzzles at more advanced levels?
Thanks for this video showing the pups using it! The video on chewy's site is not great. 😂
my 2yr old terrier rescue figured this out in 5min loll was hoping it would've lasted longer since it was her first puzzle ever.
My 2 yr. old bdr.collie sheltie aussie spaniel got it today and conquered it immediately. I'm looking for harder ones.
Bought this for my lab and just used it. He liked it but he ended up pawing at it like a maniac and pulling the lids off rather than flipping them. It ended up getting slapped around the floor. Think he needs to try again. And use his brain a bit lol and not just smash it about and hope for the best.
LOL there is no right or wrong way.
The main thing is to challenge the dog.
My husky shepherd mix uses a combination of flipping the covers with his nose but sometimes will simply rip the top off.
Fun to watch and I could see the look of achievement on his face each time he finishes it.
I wonder why they make all these puzzles out of choking hazards?
Mine would pick it up and dump it.
My golden retriever could do it after 1 minute. 😅😅 he is not too silly after all
Our German shepherd figured this out in about 45 minutes :(
It’s ok it takes them time if you have never introduced them to a puzzle one you give your dog the puzzle every day she or he should get used to it and get a bit faster it take some of dog some time.
Doesn't matter.
He will get better every time he does it.
Maybe try the level 1 puzzle initially and then move on to level 2.
That’s a good thing! The longer it takes the more time that they’re occupied
