I had such a hard time getting mine to not rot and grow slips. So my harvest was tiny. But I made sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. And I’m hoping next year to have a better harvest.

I grew my own this year from slips however I am not sure what kind they were. The skins are a deep red like color and the inside is white. Imagine my surprise on Thanksgiving day when they were peeled. Anyone know what kind is white inside?

It sounds like you have the Japanese Sweet Potatoes. I’m growing some of them this year will harvest them in the next week or so.
