"I'm Broken" changed my life. That riff opened my eyes to the fact that something "slower" could be even filthier than the thrash metal I had grown up with, and I haven't looked back since 🤘 ... Also, a bit of Corrosion of Conformity would be a choice pick if you ever do a follow-up

Symphony x has songs with great riffs with groove. For example Domination, Wicked, Charon... Electric Messiah has some Pantera vibes

I guess standard E and drop D to start with?
Yeh every tuning is a different gauge due to the tension etc. I usually use either 9-46 or 11-48 for E/drop D. 11-52 for drop c 12-56 for drop b etc
