Surah Balad (the city), revealed in Mecca, is the 90th surah of the Quran in Juz' 30, with 20 verses and 82 words. It gets its name from the first verse, whereupon God swears to the honored city of Mecca, as it is the residing place of the prophet of mercy (S).
