These Pepsi ads are getting ridiculous
😂😂😂
And here I thought it was a very drawn out gender reveal.
@@KharnelliusWhy am I picturing whales doing a gender reveal?!?
Itttttttttttsssssssss aaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbbbbbboooouuuuuyyyyy
OMG 😂😂
I didn't see the pepsi ad because I was reading your comment. Thanks!
A teacher actually teaching. Nice.
We try!
What an awesome teacher!
This is a dumb comment
all teachers teach. it's remarkable the classroom isn't filled with teenagers with the reading level of a toddler
@@martinchamberlin3359Debatable. Some teachers pick favorites and even bully/degrade students, unfortunately
As a meteorologist i`m delighted to see how comprehensive this was presented to the scholars. Great job! Should be in every class!
Thank you! I have been hoping to get some feedback from someone in the field! As a mid-level educator I am more of a generalist. I try to do my research but it's great to hear this from a meteorologist! I have a new video coming out soon about absolute humidity, relative humidity and dew point. I would love to get your feedback on that too!
Also a meteorologist and I 2nd that. I will be doing this for our NASA school outreach programs. Great job!
lol look at this comment thread of people that are sometimes right
lol look at the person who doesn't know what chaos theory is.
I would love to hear your feedback on this remake I did to try to encorporate a bit more information...

Was waiting for an applause at the end... this was really good...
Would loved to have seen this 20 years ago...
Thanks for your kind words. My middle schoolers rarely break out in applause;) I made an updated and more complete version. Let me know your thoughts if you have a few moments!

😊 those kids don't know what they just saw. But it was good and might help some of them! Keep it up, teach!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Teacher good, class kids could care less😂
Retired science teacher here: Excellent demonstration and presentation with good corresponding hand gestures and timed speech.
Thanks! As a teacher you get the speech thing. Some comments say way too slow but you know how it's different in a class - and depending on what class. Here is an updated version for wider audiences that I made. Cheers!
czcams.com/video/SbqIloIRpuM/video.html
@@christopherdever5536 Totally agree! Storytelling is a huge portion of delivering the message! It gives time for the audience to digest every statement before moving on to the next.
The mix of blue and red literally looks like a thunderhead cloud in the sky! It feels so intuitive now.
This is great knowledge for any student pilots / pilots looking to brush up on weather theory! Thank you for this I’ll be sharing this with some pilots. Great demonstration!!
@Flywithjon
Thanks for your comment and for the positive feedback! I hope it helps in what you do. Here is the link for my updated video that is a little more refined.

@@christopherdever5536my science teacher had us watch this! It’s really fun and cool it’s makes science more fun!😮
yup, pilot studying for the written and couldn't rote memorize the high/low clockwise/counterclockwise thing.
That's why I'm here.
Studying for my cfi here!
I loved the grunting and crunching noises from the class, they were really learning!
This was an amazingly intuitive demonstration. This is top tier teaching.
Wow, thank you!
As someone trying to be a glider pilot, thought this was the best visualization of a thermal and sink!
Awesome! Glad to hear it was a fitting example. Thanks for the feedback and best of luck in your gliding.
It's better to see it as a sea breeze
These kids have a genius teacher. Hopefully one of them benefits from his gift
You are very kind! Thanks for the positive feedback.
Dropping a like, and comment to help the algorithm. That's how I got here.
Much appreciated!
He reminds me of my Biology teacher in high school. She put so much of her time to make sure that we understood Biological systems and concepts. I still remember what a Nephron is and how it works to this day because of her. Kudos to this teacher.
High pressure rain tastes like blueberry, low pressure rain like orange. Got it.
Great demonstration! After spending a career as a pilot dealing with such phenomena - and all the resulting weather - I truly appreciate great training visual aids like this! Thanks for sharing.
Glad to help. I made a more polished and complete version which I have linked below. Thanks for the positive feedback!

Hey! This was a great demonstration! Im 62 and learned something for the first time after watching this video!😆😁
Awesome! Thanks for the positive feedback!
Fantastic teacher, you just got many kids interested in science! I wish I took my education a lot more seriously in highschool/middle school instead of waiting until college. Keep inspiring the next generation!
I'll keep trying. It's either inspire them or watch them fall asleep;)
Now add dish detergent and a spoon and mix up a tornado, and put some Lego's to represent a trailer park!
I have been in the aviation field since 1976 and this is the best atmospheric low- and high-pressure demonstration I have seen since.
Sr., as a science teacher and after having climatology classes in my post grad. I can only say that this is genius level demonstration with analogy + storytelling. I already said sometimes to students "imagine the atmosphere as we are all in a huge close air aquarium", and air pressure columns in a mountain and at sea level as similar to our crushing sensation in the ears as we go more than a couple of meters deep in a pool, but this is the cherry on top of all that analogy cake! 😂👏 Definitely subbed 👍
Yes! My understanding of these dynamics changed so much once I started seeing us as swimming in the atmosphere rather than merely breathing it. Thank you for the encouragement.
Best explanation for convection current, way better than flight school.
Glad you think so! Here is my updated and "complete" video. The first one was more of a spur of the moment recording for students who were absent or later classes.

Wish I had motivated teachers like this when I was a kid 😂
You are very kind. Best to you.
So where they meet, it makes purple rain? 😂
Risk of rain reference?
This is a great to visually teach the young mind, create that spark and get these kids interested in wanting to learn more!!
Good job teacher!
Thank you! That's what I try to do. Keeping kids attention is also a great survival technique for middle school teachers;)
I have been trying to understand high and low pressure in the atmosphere for years. This really helped!
Awesome! Thanks for the positive feedback.
Every student pilot should watch this. Fantastic presentation!
Wow, thanks!
I remember getting a lecture on this in a high school science class. The visual demonstration is far superior. Great job!
Glad it was helpful! Here is my updated and more complete video.
czcams.com/video/SbqIloIRpuM/video.html
This is a great explanation, what I've had at school left a lot of stuff out like why is it a low pressure area in first place, but this hot ground and cool higher atmosphere explains how some high/low pressure cells would come to be. I'm in my 30s and it feels great learning this stuff
Awesome! Great to hear it helped you! Never stop learning - right!
This is cool because it omits the humidity and shows only the mixing. And it's *still* obvious where the storm forms.
This was such a well-done model, love it!
This is great. I'm a big weather nerd and have been looking for some weather experiments to do with my niece and nephew this summer. Adding this to the list! Cheers from New Jersey.
Awesome! Have fun!
Commercial pilot / CFI here. Would’ve loved a video like this when I was learning about weather in my early training. This 5 minute video sums up a lot of information that took weeks to understand. You definitely have my “like”!
That is really great to hear! Thank you for the positive feedback! I have a newer version I just finished based on some feedback I have gotten. If you want to have a look and give me your opinion that would be awesome. Cheers!

I have been an airline pilot for +20years.
This is great teaching.Thx!.
That is super encouraging to hear! Don't always get that feedback from middle schoolers;) Feel free to check out my more refined and complete version if you wish.

That's great! I'm 32 and that really helped me see how high and low pressure weather works!
Glad it helped!
What a great demonstration. Have been using the cold falls/heat rises principles to pack picnic baskets and transport groceries for 50+ years but, have never thought of how it relates to atmospheric pressure or even the actual meaning behind high and low pressure before. I love that l'm never too old to learn stuff. 😊
So how did you use this to pack picnic baskets and groceries? Ice and cold stuff on top? Thanks for the comments!
@@christopherdever5536 Exactly that. Ice packs on top in an insulated basket.😊
It's funny because I used to put the ice pack on the bottom!
@@christopherdever5536 Good lord! That IS funny. Except ... now you've got me wondering which one of us was correct and if it matters in something the size of a picnic basket. Please do a comparison and make a short. 😁
Excellent demonstration, I'm going to use it for my 4th/5th graders.
Awesome! Great to hear it could be a useful teaching tool for you. I'm planning to make a more refined version soon with a student worksheet to accompany it. Check out my website for some more teaching videos and thanks for commenting!

Non-scientist but total weather nerd here. Now when I see the word convection on the NWS forecast discussion I will totally get it! Thanks for a clear demonstration/explanation of this. 👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome!
The best explanation and experience I’ve had regarding pressure systems. Fantastic job 👌🏾
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback!
Guys, I hope you realize that you have a great teacher. None of mine were nearly as cool, informative and captivating.
Wel done mr. science teacher man👌🏻
Thank you for the demonstration!
2 Questions:
1) What are the weather systems that each create?
2) What are the effects on human health of each, the high pressure and the low pressure areas?
Thank you again!
Thanks for the comments! Below is a video I made that actually completes the explanation of this demo. The second question would be better answered by a health expert than by me. I have noticed however that sudden changes in the atmospheric pressure are detected and felt by the human body. Sometimes I get more achy on these days.

I really liked this.
I would have taken the opportunity to explain the effect of the horizontal blue current moving towards Cruella, and say that she would experience some nice cool breeze. This experiment explains wind. Very powerful.
Yes! Thanks for that comment! This was an incomplete video that I followed up with a more fully explained one. The youtube algorithm really liked this one though! I made a follow-up video on what causes the wind with the same demo. I will link them below. Cheers!

This is so awesome I wish schools in India teach practically like this🎉❤
Great teacher, awesome lesson! Lucky students!
Thank you! 😃
I was waiting for the answer to what those pressures caused to happen in the weather hopefully you can make a video explaining that part as the video cut off because you went back to it.
I'm guessing you were going to talk about rain in low pressure and dry in high pressure. But I think it'd be awesome using the tank to explain how and why that's the case. None the less this is a amazing video explaining pressure probably no definitely the best one I've seen as I was investigating it as pertaining to deer hunting. It's brought up a lot.
Hey Mark! Thanks for the comment. I am working on a new and more refined video that explains the weather part. I did kind of cut off since this was part of a series of lessons I was doing for my students. You are right that high pressure tends to be drier and clear (sunny). The air in high pressure regions generally contains less moisture initially and as it falls and warms it is able to absorb a lot of water vapor without clouds forming. On the other hand the rising air in the low pressure region generally already has more moisture in it. As it reaches the higher elevations in the atmosphere and cools it begins to condense (clouds) and precipitate (rain). Some people remember this with the statement "high/happy" and "low/lousy"
I'm a bow hunter myself and it seems to me that on the days where the pressure is rising rapidly I see the most whitetail deer movement. Has that been your experience? Honestly I don't know why but I love being out on those days. Good luck and thanks for the feedback.

This is how teaching must be, the World over. Practically demonstrate. Visual impact is the highest for understanding and retention. 👏💯👍
I totally agree. If try to teach this way as much as I can.
Awesome demonstration!

Such a great visualization of how this works. I’ve seen explanations and animations all my life, but until now, it finally makes sense! I’m guessing this also helps to explain how tornadoes form too.
