@26:32 Hu Ge !!! The lead actor is the best... But his nirvana in fire series is the best Chinese series I've ever seen. Plus the soundtrack of it is really good.

They indeed have reacted to Jay quite a lot but seemed that released only on bilibili but not here.
As being Indian I always love my indian music best of course in different languages of different states, besides that Chinese and Japanese are my one of favorite . Chinese have such beautiful traditional deep , passionate voice with bamboo flute and japanese music composers are one of greatest all time as animes are the proof . Kpop is good but I can't listen to it all time , it's like temporary excitement as it similar to western pop . And thai songs are also good. ❤❤❤❤
Edit:- Oh , yeah, vietnamese (maximum thought it's kpop) songs are trending frequently and it's addicted also. ❤❤

Mucho que hablar de la música china, porque como en india es otro universo.. con sus propios instrumentos es una delicia escuchar. Y ahora los OST modernos es sublime como combinan las emociones y las voces... Las voces varoniles son profundas y aireadas muy interesantes y las voces femeninas hay mucha soprano cantando... La música china es algo que merece ser explorado y compartido. Esperando más reacciones suyas del arte de ese país

I like Chinese dramas the most!...but i can't watch the old one's for some reason...so i really hope u also watch ost's from recent dramas.
My all time favourite ost is 'poison' from the drama 'Arsenal military academy', 'promise of the wind' from 'Boss & me' drama and 'i like you so much, u will know it' from the drama 'A love so beautiful'.
And 'The untamed' is a really good drama ...u guys should watch it!
I suggest listening to XIN Liu (Liu Yuxin). Her album EPSILON holds the record of number one most number of album sales in 2021 worldwide and she also released another album XANADU with 10 interconnected songs/mvs. She is currently on tour right now and her fancams show how insane her concert performances are!
to answer your question, chinese drama ost's are very similar to korean ones in that the song is composed specifically for the drama :) it's very rare for it to be pre-existing but sometimes some songs are used in dramas and reinterpreted/covered to capture the essence of the drama better

I like Chinese drama and I love a male Chinese singer/actor Xiao Zhan.
Nocturne is such a masterpiece. I remember hearing it for the first time. It felt like if Edgar Allan Poe had written a song. It is so dark and sad yet feels like a warm blanket when listening to it. You should react to that entire album "November's Chopin". I hope one day Jay makes a sequel to that album. Jay Chou actually got me interested in classical music and piano.
CPOP has been a phenomenon in asia, back when social media and internet didn't even existed and when kpop wasn't even that popular yet. Amazing that young generations rediscovering CPOP. The internet today has turned into such a wonderful cross cultural place and music is indeed universal!

David Tao is now older and similar to Eason and Jay Chou, has some damage to his vocal cords from over touring over the years. He’s making great strides in his older age (50s now) to mend his voice and he sound pretty darn great, but not the same level as this.

Jay Chou is Taiwanese. It actually matters, because mainland Chinese music is a LOT more restricted and censored. His lyricist is also Taiwanese.

That a biased opinion. Most Taiwanese songs takes its influences back from mainland china anyways. And China does not have more restriction and censoring of their production than any other country, and isn't affecting their artistic talent. Also Jay Chou is not an activist and his lyrics are not controversial at all, he just sings about love and heartbreak usually, so what is there to censor, and what difference is that with mainland China? So your opinion is biased and incorrect. The most controversial song which is unrestricted and has been the song for the Tiananmen protest came from mainland China, which is called Nothing To My Name, sang by Bejing based Cui Jian. 崔健 - 一无所有
