This was my granddaughter and she is fine now. I just want to give a big Thank You! to the entire rescue team. They were so fast and coordinated in their efforts. From the helicopter crew to the men who actually hiked up the trail in all their gear. My family and I are forever grateful.
I believe that if it's a legit medical need it's free. But if you get rescued and it's not a legit medical need, get ready to be in debt for the rest of your life.
This is not an air-ambulance, this is the Sheriffs Department Air Rescue. SAR is a service provided to all citizens, of all states, and one of the many functions of The Sheriffs Office and The Office of Emergency Management. Do not confuse the fire department or police department with The Sheriffs Department or EMA. They are vastly different.
