I agree that the "Tino!" chants seemed harsh....But they were correct. Just like in the Villa game, if that sub wasn't made things would've gotten worse. It looks worse because he's now being targeted- personally, I think we need to go against emotion and put Tino at LB.

Dan needs to be played in his best position, at centre back We all know he'd play anywhere for us (and he has), if asked, and do his best. If Dubs got sent off and we had no sub goalie, guess who'd volunteer for the job. BDB has my total support.

Craig you are 100% correct , the midfield as a unit are poor , you use the phrase control and we very rarely control games , the analysis I always use is , if miley ( fantastic prospect) and Longstaff were put up for sale , who in the top six would sign them to improve them , I’m not sure if they would improve many premier teams , if Tonali and Joelinton are fit Miley and Longstaff are squad players. We have to be sensible here the suspension and injuries have killed the season , we just have to get through it the best we can . The best we can hope for is a kind draw in the cup .

If FFP wasn't an issue, we'd have signed 4 or 5 players... But we couldn't, so the midfield is what it is. However, while the full cohesion of the midfield isn't there, they are still giving maximum effort and that is all we can ask with our current situation

I understand the dislike of the Tino chants however I see it as fans being frustrated that Tino isn’t playing rather than Dan Burn is. When starting Tino has been one of our best and to see him out of the team for Dan Burn doesn’t make much sense to me or to other fans it seems

Asking for Tino instead of Dan doesn't mean we are against Dan and we don't appreciate what he's done, & is doing, for the team. It's just a case of horses for courses.

I really don't understand why, with all the injuries to midfield, he hasn't tried young Lewis Hall in there. The kid has stated in the past that he loves playing in that holding midfield area. This would allow Bruno and Longstaff to play a bit higher and leave the back four with a bit of cover. This could also help with injuries, and substitutions, as I'm just waiting for the return of Willock and the fall of another.. (my money's on Bruno). I also agree with a possible change of formation to 3 centre backs. Dan has a lot of heart and it shows in his performances, it's a shame he has been coming up against some of the fastest wingers in the country of late. This cannot be good for his confidence and self esteem.

Super high press intensity is dumb when you have to play more than 1 game a week and you already have an injury ravaged squad. It is unsustainable. We have to run less and KEEP the ball more. At the beginning of the season, we probably had one of the strongest midfields with bruno, tonali, willock, joelinton with some backup. Now we currently have one of the weakest shown by how easily Luton destroyed the midfield on Saturday. Great analogy .Sometimes supporters can be their own worst enemy. During the 90 + minutes they have to get behind the team regardless then when the game is over and away from the club they can discuss praise or criticise . Of the latter there is a huge difference between constructive criticism and destructive criticism. A minority of fans calling Dan c**p is totally out of order. Yes against Luton he was caught out but being chosen to play against a speedy winger is not his fault. Yes managers make mistakes too, Again a minority came out with is Eddie good enough. Listening to Eddie on his regular conferences I believe he is good enough and good managers certainly don’t throw their players under the bus.

Let's see what has been learned. I've no issue with Burn starting, nor Miley, on the assumption there's a plan to deal with the weaknesses exposed in the Forest and Luton games.
IF the problems are still there (no control, having too many ahead of play, too much space for their #10, Burn on toast) then it'll be a massive negative, if those are then not rapidly fixed in game it'll be even worse.
I like Howe at lot but his stubbornness is starting to grind on me. Complete refusal to fix the painfully obvious faults.

Largely of injuries, Isak has been playing as a box to box player, rather than a striker, a role he plays willingly but it takes too much out of him. If we had more control in midfield, Isak could play more of a forward role. But you are quite right. We can’t progress with two such fragile strikers.

He's a big tall lad so obviously not our quickest player but was our fantastic MOTM v Villa. Some of our fanbase need to step back and think about their behaviour and the effect on some of our players! Its cruel by eddie to mismatch him constantly in the full back position when kraft, hall or livramento and targett when not injured can all play there. Stubbornness is not a good trait for a manager. He changed joelinton to midfield enforcer and he is tunnel visioned in doing something similer with burn to left back. Burn at left back is a strange hill to choose to die on but it looks like eddie is going to place his job on the line with this idea, sentimentality seems to running rampant in the coaching staff and some fans.

No one hates BDB or anything he just looks a yard off it since he fell and was out injured, he also fell again in another recent match and he just looks knackered. Howes left bdb out to dry when he needs protecting. Everyone around me at luton game said bdb will give away a pen if howe left him on and that was after 35 mins. The Tino chants were aimed at Howe not BDM imo, people wanted him off just as much to win the game as to stop bdb getting mugged off and humiliated, which lets face it he was. If my boss did that to me I would loose my sh!t. I dunno just feels like what happened with burn would make other players question if eddie would have there back in tough times or leave them hanging out to be slaughtered. Dangerous path imo. Burn has become a bit of a cult player like Maxi before him, where in no matter how poor he plays the blinkers are on for him. His lack of pace in the modern game is being targeted by opposition managers & it doesn't matter how good of a bloke he is, that is an issue. I wonder if he wasn't a Geordie whether the staunch defense of him would be as strong? I'd imagine not. If Eddie plays him & he's exposed again will we hear the same "He's from Blyth tho" excuses? I don't want him to be under the microscope like he is as he's done well for the club but age & injury has most definitely hampered him & he shouldn't be such a guaranteed starter any longer.
