The live version of this from Japan in 1992 kills even this great version. You can really see her acting and performance skills as well as her incredible vocals. A master class in performance. Perhaps the most underrated singer of her generation. Lisa is still alive and well performing in and around my native Brooklyn. She can still hit that F6 and is still as beautiful as ever.
Yeah her live version was even more amazing... she's very underrated but she's one of the best female vocal of all time.
I’m glad your being honest with your reaction unlike some people with their fake reactions.
When you wanna party with the 🚬🥃 the our daddies of soul... The whispers.Rocksteady...and dance my brother ❤👌🏾
Yes it was a Hit she won a Grammy for this song. She didnt go big by choice she sung back up for Luther Vandross.
You know Lisa hand to SANG! To back up Luther vandross touring ❤️
She bad ass
You gotta do her live... OMG!!! Hold on to something, cause you gonna be gone sir!!
check out Patti Austin who sounds a lot like Fischer, then Retina Belle, maybe Yolanda Adam's ("In The Midst Of It All")
Vanessa William's. Save the best for last.
Richard marx. Right here waiting
HEART. Alone. Such emotion and deep
Richard marx and heart are my best break up songs but good beat and vibes
There's a really good documentary called "20 Feet from Stardom" and it features Lisa Fischer and many other women who started as backup singers. Lisa's story in that was really amazing. It gave insight to the life of backup singers from back in the day. Her voice was and still is great!
I have another list, lol. Please react to Seal - "Fly Like an Eagle," Zapp & Roger - "Computer Love" or "I Want to be Your Man" and BMU - "U Will Know"
Didn’t know about that documentary thank you, and I’ll keep those requests in consideration! ✨
80s 90s was the best era of music unlike the crap people listen to now... that was timeless. Music was good the lyrics was fire... talent was on point.. what we grew with the memories on LP. the good days. I've seen so many people being blown away by the old stuff. People now are to used to the stuff now. But they need to understand from 70s to 2000 hd. The technology now is different. So start time travelling and there are millions of rare gems to discover
I was hoping you would come back to see my review to this, I totally agree with you. There needs to be a discussion about this because there has been a major shift in the music industry!
Thank You! ✨
U should check out the live version u would love it ( live in Japan version)
@@amberosby5438 I’ll check that out.
Back up for Luther Vandross and stepped out on her own and killed it
Lisa Fischer could have been as big as Whitney but she chose to stay a back up singer. This woman has a phenomenal voice. She hits those whistle notes like Mariah, but she has much better control than Mariah. Her voice skips from octave to octave effortlessly.
Whenever Luther Vandross played NYC I was always front & center. His backup singers were the best & their routines were tight. That's where I first heard Lisa & I've been her fan ever since. She's one of a kind.
Do the live version in japan
You are not the first to mention this, I’ll look into it.
@@_therealkingj I was just about to say the same thing lol the live version from Japan is the best.
@@KnownAsEllyot It’s coming!
U wamt to sing this song
A rather lame reaction.
Thank You! ✨
