- This is an EASY DIY for cleaning and conditioning your leather goods. The first section is a quick tutorial on a CHANEL handbag. The second, extended version is with a CHANEL briefcase and it has a close up of the treatment on the inside of the bag.

Thank you for sharing this! I am about to clean one of my favorite bags and bought all the supplies and am not terrified to do it now. I have a few pen marks on the leather interior. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove those? It is light tan leather with blue marks. Thanks so much!!

Hi Teri. Can the Lincoln be used in the inner lining of the bags too? I bought a 2nd hand MCM and inside canvas is dirty and smelly. Wondering if Lincoln cleaner will help with it. Appreciate your reply.

Aloha Dack! thank you so much for writing those excellent questions! Starting with the first one, yes it can. Because it’s a white Chanel bag, I would do a test swatch. Somewhere on the bottom Lincoln is known to be Leather friendly, but I would hate to steer you wrong on a beautiful Chanel bag, as far as the second question, I’m not sure what a Vachetta is I would love it if you could email me on my website teriedmonds.com. Once you do that I can respond and you can attach pictures so I could look at it for you as far as question number three. I would also love to see a picture of it because I’m not sure exactly what it looks like. The Lincoln cleaner doesn’t restore color that would likely need to be done either with a paint or with a good polish I prefer paint because then it won’t rub off and it’s a little bit more durable like I said I’d be great if you wanted to send me some pictures especially a white Chanel bag. Yum Yum.
