First Speed Run and test HBX 3100A Haiboxing Violent SC

- This is my first seed run on 2s and 3s and bash with the HBX haioboxing 3001a violent sc. I had a few issues with traction rolling, battery life and range. i could not go very far with out loosing range. The battery it came with is a 1050 mah so that is why it did not last long. But it does come with 2 battery's and 2 chargers. The traction rolling is from a combination of a solid axle and locked differential and hard low profile tires. There is no give/flex. I am going to change the tires to something with a bigger sidewall and I ordered a proper 3s to fit in the stock compartment. Stay tuned for part 2
Took mine out for the first run yesterday and I don't have the range issues but the stock batteries don't last too long like you said. I'm really impressed with the suspension on this one though. It performs like a real short course or desert truck. Mine rolled a lot too, but it's still probably one of my favorite RCs so far.
Yes, that 1050 mah does not last long at all. In sand and loose dirt, it works a lot better
@JoevsRc Yeah, I'm thinking a high C rated 2S is probably perfect for this truck. 3S in my experience is almost guaranteed to break something, and I want this RC to last

I love the way this truck looks.... I really do. It looks pretty fun.... but for an extra $30 or whatever the difference is, I think the 2997A of a MJX Hypergo is the way to go.
That being said, it looked fairly quick
It was quick for 1050 lion . I will do a second video with a proper 3s and a dry day.

Also Jeremy, over to Haydad Rc mentioned your channel to me earlier today. I couldn’t watch till I got out of work. Yes, the reason that this rolls is it’s locked diff. What ever direction your going to steer into, those back wheels are going to push it and roll on the opposite corner.
Try turning your St D/R down some. It should lesson the effect. Also those spare tires I’m sur hinder some of the handling.
I still like what I’m seeing though. Seems to get through the grass pretty well, and seems to like breaking traction those back wheels especially in the sand! Good test.
Solid axles with locked diffs can be tricky,but fun when you get used to it! Awesome video! Glad I subbed you bud!👍🏻🌟😎
I am going to try a softer tires with a larger sidewall. To see if I can get some give/ flex . I don't like the harder low profile tires

I’ve got a couple of 1/18 hbx rigs and they both have range issues unfortunately. I’d of hoped they’d have that issue sorted by now.

Im trying hyper go 16300m2 tires and rims they make a more aggressive version 16002c2. Hopefully they fit. I changed my receiver and it runs really good no loss signal issues
The tamiya rally block tires fit also
Hey mate i watched another video on YT and also checked it on Amazon...it looks like lipo batteries. LiON is typically cylindrical wrapped together. Looks like normal aa batteries. That looked like a flat pack you had in there. Anyway thanks for sharing the vid mate👍🏻
THANKS FOR WATCHING! I just looked at the battery again. Model number sf883048sh20 1050 mah 7.4v polymer lithium ion battery 7.77 wh. That's what the sticker said.
@@JoevsRc i think its a Lipo. The description is quite confusing as it says polymer and then li on hahaha. China spelling for ya. But if it doesnt feel like there are cylinderical batteries inside if you squeeze it it has to be Lipo but i could be wrong👍🏻 traction roll is always an issue on solid axle SCTs. And i think this ones light weight doesnt do it any favours. It loves the loose gravel though. Maybe keep it on there. Thanks for your video bro. Not heard of the brand before. My first impression was its an odd looking sct, but its quite nippy 😮
This is my first try with a cheaper rc truck. It needs a couple of changes but we will see what I can do with it
Runs nice, the traction could be better. On the pro side is that you don't see the dirt on the body with it's design😉
Need less traction lol all it does is traction roll
Make sure the antenna wire is not wrapped around the motor or battery wires. That’ll cause interference

It does have a solid axle , locked diff and low-profile stiff tires. HMMMM@@BasBoyRC

Yes they have parts for this truck. Depending on where you are, it might take a few days for delivery
Maybe tires will help...

I would get the flysky GT5 . I use it for many cars and races at the track. It has many features for the price
Oh, cool! I got the Flysky FS-GT3B for my SCX24 Wrangler.
I ended up getting the FS-BS3 FS-BS4 FS-BS6 Receiver with Gyro and I paired it with my Flysky FS-GT3B controller…I just ran it across the length of a soccer field (385 feet), 0 range issues.

Depends if you want to spend money and time on it or not? New ESC if 2 in 1, radio and tires seem like they are well needed. And oil shocks. if already fitted, it looks like shocks need some tuning to prevent the roll-overs. I'm not sure it's worth the effort and money 🤔 it will probably still roll-over from time to time because of the construction, but I'm pretty sure it could do it a lot less with some tuning.
Going to look into some tires for offroad and a proper 3s battery. and thats all. @@electricnitrorc
