If Katie were there, she would tell the boys that it's an opossum, which are generally docile but hissy but will bite if need be so you should be wearing gloves, big shoots. Also, they eat tons of ticks so they're beneficial.

@@rogerj412 They're cute as babies, but then they get old and nasty looking. In one apartment complex I was living in, a bunch of the neighbors and I were catching the stray cats to get them spayed/neutered (was a big problem), and several of us got the humane animal traps to set out on our patios, and I got up one morning to the biggest, most grizzled looking opossum I had ever seen. Opened the gate on the trap to let him out, and he wouldn't leave until I started throwing water on him... which made him stink.
This show does more for us than any of the Canadian political parties do.

Fun fact: Opossums are generally extremely docile. They don't "play dead" they actually pass out from fear. It's very similar to those goats that fall over. And it's true they're immune to most diseases simply because their blood runs a few degrees cooler than most mammals so most germs simply can't live in them for long. If not for the fact that they have very short lifespans they'd actually make really good pets. There were several that used to come to my window for catfood when I was little.

I love how in Letterkenny Glen is the town gay, but nobody acknowledges it in any of the episodes. Pure genius writing.
I think they briefly acknowledge it in the election for Ag Hall president, where it states that Roald enlists Glenn as the “gay vote”
That would be just impolite to say anything unless he says it first. Remember they had no problems with "gays at the gym".
I mean that's sort of the point though. He can only get away with stuff like this if he pretends he isn't gay. If he's openly gay than damn near his every action in this video is a sex crime, but if he maintains the plausible deniability he can get away with the sim chance everything he's doing is as innocent as he claims. And it would be considered impolite and insulting to outright ask if he's gay, so they have to avoid it. I love how accurate this is to rural churches. I feel like every one I went to as a child had at least one Glen. I remember the principal at the baptist private school I went to for a few years had the most over the top lisp, like in retrospect if you heard his voice you'd think it was a really crude mockery of a southern gay man. And he always wore these really thin button up shirts which lead to very gross, protruding nipples. I don't think at that age I even knew what a gay was, but I remember being in utter disbelief that he was married and had three daughters.

Possums are actually one of the few species of animal that CAN'T get or give rabies.
They can get it, but it's extremely rare.

Opossums have a very high blood temperature. Make nearly impossible to contract rabies. They are also fairly docile.

No way Wayne's scared of opossums. Pick them up by the tail and carry them, safely, anywhere you want to. They're slow and never have rabies. It does hurt when they bite, but you'd have to be good and drunk to screw up badly enough to let them get in a position in which they could.

Opossums aren't really that dangerous, though. Most times they're putting on a show, but you could stick a finger in their mouth and they won't bite (usually). They know their place on the food chain.
They also eat ticks and prevent the spread of Lyme disease, so they're good boys. If you see one, don't kill it.
