- We installed a part from rennline that prevents the shift linkage from ever coming off, a mod you NEED when you install a short shifter and or shift linkage. I also got to ride along in a 991.1 GT3 and hear some of that awesome fabspeed exhaust.

Thx for sharing that little gadget! Definitely going to buy that. Also great advice at the 19 minute mark. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hype and lose sight on being true to yourself.

Thanks for the info. That's one of my concerns as I live out in the boonies and with a little Cayman 5spd I do a LOT of shifting but that's a big part of the experience and i really enjoy it.

Do you think you will lower your Carrera? I am in California and the roads aren’t the best. After talking to my mechanic He recommended to just refresh the stock suspension but add thicker sway bars to handle flatter. However he said if you really want to lower it go with the 0M30 Porsche suspension which comes with shocks, springs and sways bars and only lowers it 10mm. That way it’s all designed to work together. He was against coilovers.
@@shughes911 I have coilovers on now in NY (just put em on a few hundred miles ago video coming soon) I like em better than my stock suspension. Granted my stock suspension was 80k old, the coilovers feel smooth over the road and with a medium dampening setting, only over true potholes do I think, “shit I’m on coilovers”
