Because even if your in a relationship you can still keep yourself at your wanted level of fitness and to some extent attractiveness because It only takes 30 minutes or so in a day to find the time to exercise and as long as you eat healthy it’s no hardship.
Im 34 and currently single suffer from major depression but I don’t use my age or any of that as an excuse to put weight on I like being fit and wether I do or don’t have a relationship that will never change.

The job of teachers is to teach and educate, not punish you for having a differing opinion on political matters. If I were you I would not take that detention, and make a formal complaint about the teacher to the school board. You're being oppressed. Having a differing opinion, or even being factually incorrect isn't doing anything wrong.
The thing about the pay gap is that it's not as simple issue, and it sure can't be fixed by giving students detention. There might be a pay gap or there might not be a significant difference, depending on the country you're at. Reasons for a possible pay gap are complex and do not necessarily indicate "oppression of women by the evil patriarchy" etc, at least in most modern western societies. The problem is that many feminists are misrepresenting the whole issue to drive their own political agenda. They are exaggerating and lying about it. When you're debating feminists about pay gap, you need to always first define what they mean by "pay gap". Are you talking about an average gross salary between men and women, or are you talking about a pay gap for a specific job, and considering all other variables being the same, except the gender of the employee.
IF it is the case that a woman gets systematically paid less than a man for doing the exact same job, then I can acknowledge there is a problem. BUT, often the reality is women make less than men, because they choose careers and jobs that pay less. Case on point, it has been studied in the Nordic countries where women are considered most free to choose what profession they like. And most of them choose to work jobs like nurses, caregivers, etc. which do not have the best salary. And the men that do the same job, get paid the same. Also, generally men work more hours than women. Men might've been doing the job their whole lives, where as the women might've been concentrating on their families, and don't have as long careers as the men do. Women are also more agreeable than men on average, and might not demand a raise that often, nor ask as high salary as men do when applying for a job. These are few of the reasons a pay gap could exist. And that is perfectly natural and how it should be.

You're not safe because you didnt sign any papers. Talk to a lawyer wherever you are. Figure out the laws in you region, and if there are none, make sure there is no legal precedent to allow common law marriage.
