A year ago i tried playing this game again, and I remember how many people complained how Paris was filled with English people. And so the moment the game started, i fixed the problem, by changing the dialogue to French. It was the smartest thing I have ever thought of.

Unity well deserved the slack it got at launch but with patches its one of the most fun AC games (black flag being my personal favourite) with its hands down best parkour in the series, shame the recent titles killed parkour and replaced it with generic climb everywhere.

Origins is a different breed of Assassin's creed and I personally liked it. But odyssey sucks. I enjoyed Unity when I got it but it didn't stick with me as much as black flag or Origins did in terms of story

That was the experience I had with this game. Never ran into any glitches, and played the hell out of co-op and enjoyed every second. Black Flag is still the best AC game to me, but Unity was the last good, true AC game in my mind

@@thomasr6952 yeah convinced my roommate to get it the other day solely on that purpose cause we both love AC. We were in a queue for over 20 mins before the Ubi forums have said this has been an issue since like Jan-Feb. they say they are working on it but $20 says it’s like IPhones. Slow them down and make people get the new one.
The fact that this game looks good enough visually to be a 2022 release really shows just how ahead of it's time it was. The AI will always be buggy, they were experimenting with pushing the limits of having as many npcs in an area as possible, to make the city look realistic.
It was so fun to see really visually impressive games back in the day… we’ve definitely plateaued in terms of graphics. Although I feel like most AC games were somewhat ahead of their time visually, I’ll give that to Ubisoft.
I was lucky at launch with this game, and absolutely adored Unity. Loved the MP and the fluidity of the parkour system was amazing and I really miss those extra little animations.
I was lucky too. Became my favorite in the series. Still is.

Best assassins creed game in the recent past entires. Even when it was janky I still kinda loved it.

Really buggy, but the last fun and interesting AC. First game i played on the xbox one and i remeber how i loved the parkour, combat and amazing last gen graphics. It's all good memories.
The parkour is a lot better on controller, its also a lot more easy to use for fine tuned stuff once you understand how free run up and down REALLY work, there's a lot of hidden features in how those parts of the system work. Never seen that cant attack bug either in single player anyway. I'm sure just climbing a wall and trying to assassinate them would work, and give you back the ability to attack I'd bet, not that you'll play the game again tho lol. Also a banger as always, nice to see one of my favorite games get some attention.
Yeah in online matches the game will lag sometimes and your character kinda just freezes in place when you try to attack someone and sometimes the enemy will be frozen but still hit you somehow.
Tbh this AC (besides the story) was quite good! The parkour was amazing, and the customisation with all those different styles and weapons was a-mazing!
Co-op was a blast too!
Sucks too because the story imo had a great ass start with soo much potential then it just got worse with every mission, like it's not that bad it's just kinda mediocre for an AC game.
This takes me back. Co-op on Unity like 8 years ago was some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing assassins creed.
The missions were limited but it was fun to just chill and fight crowds with your buddies. We’d just be standing around when one of those active “KILL THE CRIMINALS” prompts would just show up and we’d proceed to go fill goblin mode

i played this with just one buddy and it was amazing. one of the best in the series imo.
this game is one of my favorites in the series, the customization, the parkour, and the story was all so good regardless of the bugs
People call this game "underrated" so many times, I don't think it's underrated anymore
Unity is the black sheep of the franchise I still play this consistently, I have no issues finding any coop games and I find them fast. Iv 100% this game multiple times and still have fun every single time

Yeah I played this for the first time a couple months back, and it's actually a pretty awesome game. The amount of seamless interior locations is very impressive and the graphics still hold up, the story isn't the best but it's decent enough and the gameplay can be really fun. Oh and I played it on PS5 and I think it can run at 60fps so it felt really smooth! Btw I actually completed that parkour course mission solo, it took me many attempts and some frustration but I got it eventually 😅
In all honesty, it still has some of the best traversal effect from the series
I remember getting this back in release, I never had a single bug when I played, and just watching other people suffer from them other than me made me happy. I seem to get lucky with games made by Ubisoft.
It only gets reall buggy for me if I'm online with other people, not all the time but it's just more frequent when I'm in matches
growing up on the OG AC games, unity to this day is died with AC4 (black flag) as my favourite AC games. Although buggy as all hell at launch, with the patches and fixes this game is a masterpiece. I haven’t bought an AC game since Origins but i played a few of the new titles and honestly it’s a shame the road they’ve taken it (in my opinion) seriously sad with what happened to the series but this is such a good trip down memory lane
I still hold Black Flag as my favorite, but Unity is pretty high up there too.

Messing around in multiplayer with my friends in unity is some of the best gaming memories I have tbh we did some wacky stuff

You know, it’s funny how people look back at the older Assassins Creed games that caught a lot of flack (Unity, Syndicate) after whatever the hell they give us now and it’s just agreed that maybe the older games weren’t so bad.

Best one after the Story of Ezio & Edward, ngl the parkour is insane / a lot of customisation + (as a french i can only be proud of the masterpiece the fact that French history is insane for AC)

I loved this game when it came out, I remember getting it a few days after release. My first game of the series, and I played it all the way through. What’s funny is, I always assumed the visual bugs were intentional to remind you that your in a computer simulation

I worked on this as QA! It was an absolute mess but holy fork was Paris amazing. I truly enjoyed working on it. Though Black Flag still wins in my book.

I got this game with my PS4 a few months after it launched. It was my first AC game, and I loved it. I barely ever encountered any glitches, even in the Co-op missions. They were really fun with friends I made in the game.

I was apparently very lucky with Unity because I recall not experiencing a single game breaking bug in my entire playthrough, playing on launch day. I fully believe Unity was their peak/best interpetation of assassins creed, and until they go back to it I don’t think I’ll ever play an assassins creed I like more again. Valhalla I like a lot, but it’s not better. I prefer Unity’s playstyle and will always prefer it.
The only reason I had such bad memories about this game was that I was extremly excited about the fact that I finally could play one of my favourite game series in co-op, so I bought multiple controllers to play with my friends and when the game launched realised that it wasn't co-op but rather online so everyone I would like to play with has to buy themselves a console + game & controller to play with + playstation plus for being able to play online. I was a 12 year old child and felt that scammed that I couldn't even remember the story line. That's basically when I started playing games on pc instead of console
If ac unity were remastered on the ps5 it would be the best ac game of all time. Its already in my top 3

i remember doing Bastille coop mission, we all were max lvl and just begun free run kill spree, like it was a race where we competeed with eachother in best looking/fastest kills, and that was AMAZING
For all of its flaws Unity could have been the blue print for a whole generation of goated AC games. If the rumors about Mirage are true then they have to take a few elements from Unity especially the parkour.
I’ve never played this one. I’ve only played AC 1 to Rogue. After the Kenway trilogy I stopped playing because first of all Ubisoft killed off Desmond and without him the modern story was getting confusing. Second they changed the game play a little bit too much for my taste. I liked the original style of the games. I’m not saying the new ones are terrible but they’re just not my style. But I did watch all the cut scenes for unity and the gameplay looks beautiful but the story was a little bit infuriating. Arno was cool but I do not like Elise at all. She kept making the worst decisions throughout the story.

@@fearthefunnyman1201 Oh yeah they added the dialogue wheel for the protagonists. Honestly I don’t mind that. It’s just the combat and the story(both the historical era and modern era). The combat looks a little bit too clunky and the modern story is just plain confusing. Plus the ancient assassins don’t even look the part anymore. No hoods no secrecy just charge out in the open yelling. Besides I like the eagle hood outfits lol 😆.
Oh yeah 100% the game is amazing as is the scenery and weaponry but the storyline is infuriating, Arno I’d a very emotion fuelled assassin
@@maddie2824 yeah Arno is a very emotional assassin. The upside is that he is actually pretty funny and he’s a cool dude. He didn’t bother me that much. However like I said before it was Elise that ruined the story for me. She kept making the most ridiculous decisions even though she finds out that the Templars are doing evil stuff. Plus her hardheaded attitude is what got her killed in the end. Arno wanted to fight the final boss in a group but noooooo she ignores her boyfriends advice and charges at him alone(which in the end got her killed). Ugh I didn’t like the ending lol 😆.
Thsi was the point it started to go off track. Focused on the graphics and gameplay but the story and characters stopped being connected with the original concept.

Nowadays it's not a bad game, at all. They fixed the bugs and all that, but it still has no naval combat.

Every Assassin's Creed game ever made is great it's one of the best franchise games with a story lore that expanded 15 years
Im one of the few people actually playing games always a few years after release because i never own the newest console/computer and i dont want to spend 60 Bucks on games i play through on 2 weekends :D AC Unity was when i played it ( 2-3years after release ) such a great game that i would honestly rate it as one if not the best AC ive ever played.
The Graphics were even after 2-3 years absolutly amazing ( for my standards ) and i still remember a lot of small details from the campaign and the open world even tho i didnt touch the game for years. Im actually a quiet sad that AC decided to change the gameplay that much for the newer games but i couldnt play them yet because my PC is a toaster so maybe i rly enjoy them.
Even if i dont AC will always be remembered as one of the best story game series ive got to play & i rly had fun in every game.
Assassins creed unity is my favorite assassins creed game without a doubt, i feel like a lot of the hate it got at launch was undeserved (the no head glitch was barely present on launch, it was just absurd enough to show up everywhere) but im glad people are now seeing its good
I recently played unity and I liked it, but my main problem with it is the fact that a lot of the optional missions felt boring without others
I just picked this game up after hearing all the patches they did to make this game good. I remember trying it when it was released and thought it was lack luster due to an unpolished ac game. Even Odyssey was more polished when released. Now I got my friend to buy it and we are going to play this later

Dude this game is heavily underrated like I’ve seen some people including my own brother still say how crap it is even tho all the bugs have been fixed for years now. Like they don’t seem to open their eyes or just can’t be bothered to re try it since release. Or you just don’t like it which is fine lol
Personally, i'm one of the few who didn't really have bugs with (only really minor ones). In fact, i had more bugs with AC2 than Unity.
And despite this, i don't like the game : i never cared about Arno nor i did with the return of that AC2 feature. Granted, i wasn't nearly as interested by the French revolution as i am now... Which would probably make me like the game even less because of how poorly exploited some the historical characters were (managing to turn Robespierre into such a dull character is honestly impressive to say the least). Yeah, i know understand why its despiction of the era created a little polemic in France.
But no matter how the writting was, i honestly hated the combat too much to pass that : still to this day the clunkiest main AC i've played with AC1.
This was truly the last good AC game, syndicate might of had a just about pass on that if they’d have continued with the multiplayer idea and just expanded on it and fine tuned it more but they just had to immediately dump that idea and then go down the path they have now, the bastards.

Hello I’ve been playing this game for years when it came out to rank Legend now, yeah it was buggy at the beginning because it was too much at the time but I’m so glad people are still playing and enjoying it and usually help people in co-op and I’ve seen that u had the “hud bug” but I don’t know what button it is for u since I play it on console but if u hold a button for a few seconds it completely hides it all till u hold it again, I don’t think u can make clubs anymore just only joining certain ones, they were even gonna make club battles but it never came out, there is also a bug where u can’t attack enemies where u would usually have to reset the game, leave the group and rejoin then do the mission, there is also a free dlc called Dead Kings too if u wanna play it :)
i honestly had fun with friend but friends were not so it was only like 3 weeks of fun for me. But still a fun game to play. Wish more coop games came out.
I feel like AC mirage is gonna be a polished unity parkour system and back to old roots. I’m actually so keen for it.

I mean, my friends and I had a blast with Unity tbh.
I quite liked the melee combat, it was a nice change from just “press B to counter”
However what I really didn’t like was how you had to pay to reveal collectible locations on the map. Granted the tiny amount of premium currency you got for free was enough, but it was still very stupid

Didn't play it at launch, but heard about the issues it had. I've played it multiple times both on ps4 and later on pc and this and black flag are my favourite games in the series.

Was just playing unity on ps4 a few days ago. Had some issues with multiplayer but was able to play with randoms

@@rily8329 yeah there’s a few people saying someone should sue for false advertisement. the keep putting it on sale and labeling it as online coop even though it’s broken. they did this with other legacy titles. “we’re working on it” turns into “we’re shutting off servers”
I´ve played it in 2015, I had no major problems, this is one of my fav AC game.
(The story could´ve been better, I mean, If Elise was killed in the middle of the game and them the tone change to a more profound love revenge instead of a generical friendzoned guy following Elise, well, that would´ve been awesome.)
I remember that mission with the flags was so infuriating! The parkour is fine but the controls are so clunky!

I played Assassin's Creed unity at lunch and it's definitely better now however I still find the movement and parkour to be the worst though they tried to hype it up as a new and improved movement system compared to the previous ac games
Also the flag section of the tournament is a nightmare I did that shit in single player and god damn it's insanely difficult was not meant for single player
