Bailing like that is one of the worst things you can do. "Had to Lay er Down" is the worst excuse.
The accident is her fault, but he would have been better off keeping the bike up as best he could and braking. Once he decided to bail there was no saving it.

@@michaelwaters7562 he didn't "throw the bike down" his tire washed out. You can hear the front tire squeel as it lost traction and skid. Once that happens any slight movent to the left or right and it's a wash. He absolutely made the right call in trying to stop and truthfully he would have stopped in time if the tire didn't wash out. As for trying to swerve around 2 things here 1 you don't know the vehicle is going to stop so swerving to the right is a no go which is proven bc she didn't stop... 2 there was no left lane... and with the car angled like that you can't see if there is any on-coming traffic that you would run into if you swerve left which again is proven in this case as there was the grey car behind her that he could have hit should be have swerved left

yo man! sorry to hear what happened, i wish you and your bike a speedy recovery! im not going to tell you what to do, and by any means dont bother doing these, but depending on how hard the impact on your helmet was you might want to get yourself a new one, and some leathers for your bottom half, but i understand how warm it can get in florida. just some ideas homie, stay safe!

thatjokerperson where is the go pro attached? Either way you should always check the styrofoam layer to make sure it isnât cracked. Thatâs the layer that spreads out most of the shockwave, but if damaged, wonât spread it out correctly.

Fractured my hip in a crash about 14yrs ago and it still flares up and hurts so bad at random that I walk with a limp at those flare ups and then it will just go away mid walk like no problem. The human body is so resilient at times and so fragile in others. Glad you were alright.

And the next important thing is to learn from mistakes. Hers was assuming no one was behind the SUV. Could have been a small car too. His was using the advantages of a motorcycle to avoid slowing down. He made himself next to invisible.

I've come off twice back when I owned a 08 CBR1000 and I reacted the exact same way when I first came off and j think you did a good job, it's better then looking back on a raging motorbiker wearing full gear

I recently just got my endorsement, and iâm 100% on your side and you mentioned that this couldâve been avoided but I just wanted to point out something. They teach you what lane positions are suitable for situations like this. You were in a major blind spot for oncoming traffic. Ride safe buddy!

Not sure how the car would have saw you or how you could see the car, you are driving in the right hand tire track closest to the sidewalk making yourself invisible to oncoming traffic. Not sure if that is how they teach it down there, but up here you are supposed to be in the left most tire track on a single lane road. Had you been in the left most tire track, you would have been visible to the car and you also would have been able to seen the oncoming traffic. Remember to always, always drive defensively and make yourself visible. Glad you are ok.
The car in front of him was turning left so being in the left lane would have caused him to hit the truck
The problem with that is than you might not be able to see or be seen by someone making a right out the side road in front of the truck.
Left tire track, not left lane. As for a vehicle turning in front of the truck, it doesn't matter which way they are going. You always slow down or come to a complete stop and make sure it is safe before passing a vehicle in front of you.
