As much as there trying to make the show normal..it just isn't the same this year but kudos all round in cheering the nation up
They're doing a way better job than the American version. This year's dtws has no Len (although I love Derek), a crappy host, and no pro dances!! It super such a without the pros doing a little something.
Also the announcer doesn't even say the pros' last name.
I think the pro dances are way better without a live audience.

Lived In Blackpool upto 2017. Always trouble when strictly is there. Many residents hate the night they are there. Go somewhere else.

Literally don’t understand why they couldn’t go?
Probably because of COVID-19 - related travel restrictions.
I would imagine it’s partly to with there not being enough back stage areas for storage, hair, makeup and costumes for people to spread out properly. Never mind any overnight stays that might have needed to happen. Plus the fact we’re supposed to be in a lockdown (granted not as strict as the last one). I think it would have been irresponsible for them to go. I’m sure a lot of the general public would’ve complained if they did go.
