I think that vogue routine gave Gio the practice to rock the heels.

This aged well
Johannes' partner in 2021 is male and they are smashing it. Get to see the Paso Doble and Rumba in particular - and the Pro's dance with him acting like a rich landowner inviting his favourite guests to a formal ball (1800 style). The choreography is very very clever and touching.
@@TheManunderwater Those are my favorite dances. Johannes is an incredible choreographer and John a perfect student. I had tears in my eyes watching the rumba. They're showing a whole new way of dancing. And they're both so kind and intelligent and grateful for this opportunity.
29 seasons of Dancing with the Stars here in USA and it will NEVER be as good as this. I wish I could move outta here sometimes hahah!!!

Johannes - is incredible. What a fantastic opening to the show. So colourful and joyous. It wasn't until after it was over I notice it was guys dancing with guys. Fab-u-lous. I hope there are no complaints - I'm a straight OAP and I loved it!!

I always feel abit sad for people who say they are offended by drag performances... They are missing out on experiencing so much joy and happiness from watching amazing works of performing art like this one!

The proffesionals's dances have been incredible this year, they just get more entertaining with each one.
an absolutely joyous routine that didn't treat performing in drag as some kind of cheap joke! They could have easily played the drag card for laughs but they didn't and the result was this fabulous and sincere tribute to an amazing art form

I have watched this pro dance more times than I can count at this point. Hands-down my favorite ever! Mad props to Giovanni and Gorka for being comfortable enough in their sexualities/gender expressions to ROCK that drag in such an amazing routine dedicated to an amazing movie! Johannes smashed it as we all thought he would. Also judging by Dianne's reactions every time we see her on camera she has never been more excited about anything in her entire life (understandably). :D
Well done BBC for this forward thinking routine. Johannes is incredible. I could watch him all night. His dancing is on another level. What a talented man he is. We're very lucky to have him in the UK.

The heels showing off the powerful legs, the low cut neckline enhancing the dancer physique, the big, confident grins on their faces....I love every bit of it!

I think this is probably one of my favourite pro routines! This, the Bruce Forsyth memorial routine and ANYTHING Anton dances! People complained about it though - something about promoting homosexuality and how drag shouldn't be included in performances and how it confused their kids. Oh, and how they are going to stop watching because of this routine. I'm guessing these people have never taken their kids to the pantomime then. I, on the other hand, absolutely loved it!
Too many sad fun-sucking idiots out there with too much time on their hands. I thought it glorious.
Yeah the confusing kids argument really confuses me in Britain cause ,at least where I'm from, school trips to the pantomime are pretty much yearly in primary school
This show is so amazing. The Pro are world class, choreography and costumes... fabulous. And this is all scaled down due to COVID. You just know the producers and creators really cares and these talented dancers have so much joy in their art and performances. The US version DWTS really needs to step it up, puts them to shame!!
I am so happy to see drag in a public forum! It's finally getting the recognition it deserves! It's such a wonderful art form, and the *work* that goes into it is unreal, it's so much more than just a man putting on a dress! To all those complaining, as Craig said, if you don't like it, then turn over!

Absolutely amazing! Have watched this so many times. So nice to see such inclusivity and celebration in the show. The pros all rocked it and can’t wait to see more of the same. They’re so comfortable with each other and it shows.

This opening dance was amazing on the night it was on Strictly Come Dancing, and I keep re-watching it, it's just fabulous. I love Drag Queens and this was a real treat for me, and the wonderful Johannes, would be a great Drag Queen! 💜💜💜
Wow. So amazing. I keep watching trying to look at other dancers but JoJo’s magnetic magnificence keeps pulling my eyes back. How brilliantly he dances this. Never seen him look happier on the show. And he usually looks very happy. The only thing wrong with this dance was: NOT ENOUGH OF IT. Thanks to all involved. Absolutely marvellous.
