‘I wish they had more bass’. I initially said the same thing, but after consistently using them now for about a week, both for gaming, phone, music, watching movies, etc. I can safely say that I’m actually liking the fact that I’m not drowning in bass, I can hear more of the highs and mids that I was missing with other bass heavy headsets, and I had subwoofers installed in all my cars for 20+ years.

I ordered this because of 1 feature. The ability to have both Bluetooth and the PS5 audio at the SAME EXACT TIME. The Xbox wireless headset does this too and its the reason I love that headset but obviously never had this option for Sony. Now you can listen to a podcast on youtube or whatever while playing a game on PS5 at the same time. Its a killer feature IMO.
FYI just got mine and its a beast. The most comfortable headset I've owned and I own the Kraken V3 Pro, the Xbox Razer Kaira Pro, the Xbox wireless headset and the regular Pulse 3D. This is my new favorite. Its not cheap feeling like the regular Pulse 3D pro either. It's much more quality materials and the ear cups are so soft! My one complaint is I wish the ear cups were slightly bigger since I have big ears. I can still fit inside of them but I feel for someone who may have bigger ears than me. Also, when the cups go over your ears the block out noise is insane! 9.5/10 so far.
what games do you play? i own the 3d pulse and was super underwhelmed. are these way better for footsteps and other sounds? :)
I remember helping you test out one of the PS4 Gold Headset mic in party chat back in the day, hearing the clicks when you would turn it up/down through the mic slightly. Man time flies. These look awesome.

Being able to actually use the sound controls on ps5 sold me on it. It’s gonna be so much more convenient pressing the mute button on the controller, or using the edge to adjust the party mix and sound.
Always the first channel i check for PlayStation stuffs

Great review. I actually used double sided tape and mounted it on the inside of my cabinet. If I did not have that I would buy a stand and fix it up or just wait for a 3rd party stand like you said.
Do you prefer this over Explore ? I found wearing the Explore is not as comfortable. Also very tricky to get a good sound. Any thought ?
Great review Judner, why don't you use 3M command hanging strips for the Pulse elite hook for your existing headphones stand or to use anywhere ?

I would definitely like to see a comparison between this and the Inzone H9. I love my H9 mainly because of how comfortable it is, but if the Elite is a clear upgrade I might have to consider switching.
Isn't the H9 like $300? I doubt it'll be better given it's half the price

I love mine I have my industrial pierced almost a decade now and the pulses would make it super sore, these ones are so comfortable and can sit ontop of my head without giving a headache. Not to mention how good they sound and the AI technology built in! Cheers 🎉

Yes it works with it. No reason why it wouldn’t. I believe you can even control the chat/game mix audio with the Fn button instead of pulling it up under the control center/quick menu.

Thanks for the review! They are Great value for money! I was worried I made a mistake with getting the Maxwell. I love bass in single player games and the Maxwell have plenty! seems like I would have been a little disappointed with the elites in that regard. I also hate “bright” headsets and other reviewers seem to mention the higher frequencies need knocking down a little, which is why I also sold my novas.
New subscriber. How does the bass compare with the previous version? Im not a bass heavy person, so as long as there is enough bass for gaming, thats all I care about.

I ordered a pair for my 42nd birthday to myself tomorrow. Can’t wait to hear those new magnetic planar speakers. Not sure how I feel about the way the head band extends past the rear of the earphones though.

What do you recommend overall as your best PS5 headset still haven’t purchased anything yet but definitely in the market for the best headset!
I fully expect 3D printers on etsy releasing mount variants for that charging stand.
My own mounting solution until I can permanently place it is double sided 3M pull tape, it’s currently taped to the edge of my desk on the bottom.

Please do a comparison with the other Sony branded headsets. I am looking to go first party with my PS5. Right now I am using the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 Max headset for both the PS5 and Series X. I also have the PS5 version of the Astro A30s. I am a bit of a headphones junkie so I have a large variety of headsets all around.
The PS5 pro is definitely gonna have link built in…… thoughts? Do you think it will?
Are the ear cups bigger than the originals? I hate the pulse ear cups because they tested on my ears and not over them.
Is there a way to make the mic on the headset better? Not sure if it was just me, but it sounded quite a bit muddier than I'd like unless the noise cancellation can be turned off and increase the gain on the headset
I would love to see you compare these to not only the INZONE H9 but to the Audeze maxwell. Since the Pulse Elite are using planar drivers from Audeze(who Sony now owns) and the H9 are the same price as the Maxwell at 300$. It would we be an interesting Ven diagram of Sony gaming headphones. Also the Maxwell can do bass like a mofo so you might like em. They're not bass boosted but you can EQ to add more and even if you don't, on bassy tracks you really feel it.
Should have spoke about using them on a pc. And performance using the 3.5mm jack.
Its bigger brother, Audeze Maxwell, has a lot of deep bass and precision.
On the pulse Elite, I think that it is a conjunction the Digital Signal Processing used by PlayStation on this headset (running) + the drivers for that specific headset.
But the Maxwell is doubled the price.

Funny u said that about opening the box cuz i just got mine yesterday and it was a pain to open it!
Please can you test with PSVR2 to see if it still fits as well as the pulse 3d did? The pulse 3d helped keep the PSVR2 headset from falling down and fit snuggly on the head.
I would like to see comparison with the inzone. Specifically, comparing value for money given I expect the inzone to provide some better quality.

Don’t use a screw, use that 3M tape that can stick to the wall without damaging your paint job. I forget what it’s called but they sell it in target.

I am so happy that they have softer, more comfortable ear foam because the last ones were hard and so uncomfortable for me, especially wearing think framed glasses

Aye Jud are you able to adjust the volume with the elite controller while using wireless, or do you still need the AUX cord plugged in ?
edge controller? you can with the fn key. no need to plug it in. actually; plugging it into the controller will give you worse audio quality since the controller is getting a compressed bluetooth signal.

These have planar magnetic drivers which makes me think these sound better (the sonys have regular dynamic ones)
