I'm Kaz, a young farm vet working in Northumberland (but now on sabbatical in New Zealand!), which is in the North East corner of England. I grew up in the city and found myself doing this job by a very happy coincidence.
This channel is an attempt to show my friends, family, and anyone else who cares, what I do on a day-to-day basis. If you have an interest in veterinary medicine, farming, food or the countryside, join me for the ride.
I really like your videos! I think you deserve way more views for the work you put in
Legend! Feel free to share them 😁
Serious work. Great video. Thanks!
very interesting about the iodine.
I just love all your work in new zealand. I think their survival of the fittest is a good choice at that size.
Not sure I was doing much work but the other guys were for sure 😁
Always amazes me when you see some city type with a huntaway in Australia - such vocal dogs they really should be on farms only. Mad but nice buggers.
All bark no bite (thankfully)
Very informative video. Would love to see something like, a year in the life of a ewe, or even a year in the life for a shepherd and could even compare a year in the life for various shepherds…
That’s a long term project and a lot of filming but it would be cool coming from your veterinarian pov.
Take care.
Right I’ll keep that in mind!
1600 scanned in 3 hours = 1 every 7 to 8 seconds. That is quite an amazing feat in itself. I liked the less interference philosophy. If you don't select for it you won't achieve it. Excellent video!
Thanks Michael - I’m going to try and out a few of these longer form vids out from time to time.
At 0.65NZD per sheep it’s not bad going either!
They know how to do things.
They do do things!
I recall New Zealand was having major issues with Wallaby populations have you seen the issues and seen any effect on the farming industry due to the Wallaby explosion?
Not down here in West Otago John but I think you’re right up in North Otago and Canterbury they are a nuisance.
