Nicely done! This is a wonderful example of small town charm. The children are learning team spirit, working together and getting lots of cardio exercise. Compare them with so many children I've seen who play video games, eat take out pizza and are sadly overweight. To all the haters - A dope slap upside your head. The children are members of a small town, elementary, jump rope team. That is exactly what they look like. They are not going to look like Olympic athletes who have been practicing for 6 hours a day for 10 years, longer than most of them have been alive. I studied education; I have a master's degree in education. Looking at the best schools around the world in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the elementary schools in Japan (The Japanese do education pretty well at the elementary level. When they get into middle and high school, then there's too much emphasis on testing, but not as bad as it used to be in the 1980s.), they put an emphasis on keeping the children's spirits alive. I saw a science class in Finland. Groups of high school teens were each studying a fish with a microscope. They had such enthusiasm! I don't see that kind of enthusiasm for science with American teens.
You are welcome to your opinion, of course, but since you feel this way I ask you to justify you stance rather than simply ridicule them. They may not be as good as some you know, but this sport is not common here and for us, they are excellent. I know that I couldn't do this.
Wow! These kids will h ave some great memories!!! Thanks for the video!
They are all better than I ever was at jump rope !
