nah i did it without one. i used one of my thin punch to hold it in place after i dropped it in. i put the sear on the spring last. a little more work but it can be done

These are great! How do you get the buffer out of the original stock?

There is a roll pin . You need to remove the buffer holder thing. (Not only the buffer itself). I will show you in video. Or you can add my IG and send me message. @hongkonggunguy
