This… RIGHT HERE… is (my humble opinion) the VERY BEST of Generation 1. I see War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron and Devastation as the a Transformers I’d ALWAYS wanted. I play this game * to this day * (farming, uograding weapons, etc), and got it on day 1 release 6 years ago. The artwork, gameplay, script/story, voice acting (SO authentic in mood/feel) and overall presentation make this (again, in * my * opinion) the very BEST version of Transformers. I’m still surprised at how many haven’t played it yet (G1 fans especially!)… it’s an absolute masterpiece. Cheers, all.
Sadly Activision had its Hasbro contract expire years ago and rumours for a while have speculated they're trying to find a new game publisher to make a contract with. Not only that but the combiner wars toyline in production as the game was being made finished years ago and that sadly means business perspective can't comprehend how awesome it would be to properly code and play as a combiner in level segments made for them.
playin through this game for the platinum trophy, now. and just noticed the 'Witwicky Auto Sales' billboard. a fun little nod to the michael bay transformers flicks.
This kinda serves as an in-between from Season 2 and the Transformers 1986 Movie. To me, I'd say this game takes place in the 1990s, just before the new millennium. Remember, canonically speaking the 1986 movie take placee in the Year 2005. I'm willing to bet the Autobots while cleaning up the city, used the metal from the Cyberforming to create Autobot City.
This game is not part of the G1 cartoon canon. The producers sure took basically everything from it as main source material but it can't be considered some kind of ''midquel''.

I understand that pain. Years ago I couldn't pass that level with Blitzwing too and when I finally did and had to fight him I was stuck again for a good while. I always thought he was scary because he's strong lol
This game was so good. It really sucks its been pulled from stores as I imagine a lot of transformers enthusiasts would love to give this a go. Closest thing to this was the g1 dlc in xbox360 revenge of the fallen. Would love to see a sequel with perhaps more characters like jazz, hot rod or brawn and maybe a decepticon mode seeing as megatron is an absolute beast in this game
For anyone playing the game using a PS4 controller and DS4w or anything like that, I have a texmod mod on my channel that changes the XBOX buttons to PS4 ones.

Sideswipe has the best transformation because it looks like he mostly uses the same model
Yeah. It was smooth. Optimus has a really stark jump from transformation model to robot

Literally my favorite game and I was only able to play through half of it. That's how much fun I had.

2:48 optimus Maximus is my favorite combiner. If devastation 2 comes out with playable combiners, I am glad as heck! Well if it does
