Thanos struggled against Thor and Captain Marvel even with the stones. Superman would have mopped Thanos. Superman goes toe-to-toe with Darkseid who is a more powerful version of Thanos. Superman would have been an absolute game changer in the MCU.
When Thor attacked him he was off-guard even Russo brothers said that. That's why he couldn't do anything and with captain marvel thanos is a younger than that in infinity war. He wasn't full aware of that power and also captain marvel powers are came from those infinity stones.
Well, the Darkseid that Superman often fights is just a small portion of his power. Darkseid is a force of nature and not a physical entity. And cannot inhabit our plane of existence since where he resides is just a nother dimension unto itself (Darkseid crossing over to ours would undo reality). Darkseid is way more than what Thanos could hope to be. So, Superman has only fought avatars of Darkseid. Not the actual entity.

However Anti Monitor did beat the true essence of Darkseid once before and Golden Age Superman beat Anti Monitor 🤷 so technically Superman could beat the true Darkseid 😂 Superman is definitely one of those Characters that has endless of power ability and could beat anyone if the Writer Allowed it. I'm primarily a Marvel fan since 1966 but Superman is well, SUPERMAN ! He is the definition of unstoppable. He doesn't know how to quit and he makes everyone else better kinda like Captain America but WAY, WAY more power. Like having an Iowa class battleship show up in the Revolutionary War in 1776.

Kal is just built different. In a very real sense, he a superhero even to the superheroes. HE has an avalanche of powers that are all god-tier...Thanos may actually not be able to even act quickly enough to stave off the coming curb-stomp. I mean, Spiderman and Iron Man nearly out-strengthened Thanos' gloved hand...
The way you described it knowing the strength and power of Superman and understanding the storyline behind the Avengers and the MCU, that is basically how that would have played out line for line😊
imagine the rest of the avengers in this situation though. like i imagine that while they were grateful, they were also a little bit astonished and pissed that it took another hero from a different multiverse to defeat the villain they'd been fighting for days, in less than an hour

We have to remember what Jor-El told the young Kal-El, "For as long as you bath yourself in warmth of a yellow star, like the one which gives Earth life, your powers will be unparalleled. You will be invincible." No form of matter or energy in the presence of a yellow star could touch him; Superman was conceived to be the ultimate hero.
When will people accept that Superman has no limit? He literally grows in power through out the comics so the harder the villian the stronger he gets to beat him so literally theres no villian superman can't beat because he will always become stronger, faster, etc. He will find ways to become immune and fight through his weaknesses his character/image was literally designed to always evolve into something stronger than he was.
No matter what villian you make no matter how over powered you make him at some point superman will defeat him and to please fans of other superheros sometimes they make him lose no matter how much sense it doesn't make.. like to batman for example.. can literally destroy him with a flick of the finger but he doesnt.

Superman grows in power through time and exposure to sunlight. Different kinds of solar energy can give him more power but it's not an instant thing. When he dips into the core of the sun (with its energy is the highest) he needs to stay there for some time. So he has technically no limit, but is limited by the kind and amount of solar energy that is stored in his cells at that moment.

Nice story. But there is one thing very wrong with the ending. Kal-El would never allow Thanos to just leave after fighting him and witnessing the destruction Thanos left behind; and especially after saying that he'd be back.
So I think it he would banish him to the phantom zone or choose to end Thanos then and there to avoid future calamities.
That's typical Superman. He shows mercy until he doesn't have a choice.
I think this cross over was absolutely correct and well character based. Kal will rather turn Thanos over to the authorities where he'll locked up in a meta prison cause the catastrophe happened on their planet not his. Neither was the villain his to give the marching orders. He only came to help.
Telling Thanos to leave and never return is exactly what Kal would do or turn him over to be locked up.
Considering superman's morals he would just probably leave it to the avengers on what to do with Thanos and then Thor would take that chance to execute Thanos for killing Loki and the rest of the avengers

I'm a spidy fan but I don't think people understand the difference superman is the most op comic charictor of all time a being that can push a planet 8 times the size and mass of saturn and not even be trying. like hulk could throw a tennis ball. The infinity gauntlet is not even a consern for his power level just a joke. Superman is meant to be unfavable in power that's the point if you wanted a match it would be a better match if you did, what if superman takes on galaxtus and the celestrials at the same time. Then you might be closer to his actual given power level. I mean come on lesser version actually destroyed multiverse with a scream. Punched through the fourth dimension. Tanked black holes and supernova explosion s like nothing. Held a black hole in his hands and crushed it. He by actial registered calculated measure ments has the power to destroy a multiverse 1000 times over. The reality is if there are levels then captain America is a 2 as normal human s at phisical peak are a 1 hulk thor eturnals and Thanos are in the 6 to 7 bracket charitrts like silver surfer are 8 to 9 s the celestrials would be 12 - 14 with galaxtus at about 15-16 on the scale they are ony galaxy threat level charictors even with the gauntlet Thanos still only comes in to a galaxy treat level as the stones only affect the galaxy they belong to . Superman scales on a multiversal threat wich actually puts him at over 20 plus to unlimited on the scale. So as a marvel fan even I look at the actual facts of a charicter. There are few if not any actual multiversal threat level charictors in the marvel universe. As this is how they keeped it. Lets say the what if altron and a hand full of charictors like the watcher are actually multiverse level threats they are the only charictors in the marvel universe out side of the one above all and lucifer that can be put on par to a in prime level superman. So Thanos not even a bother like a fly on a f1 car window even with the gauntlet. Not trying to upset fellow marvel fans but it's just facts, people just like to belive that our hero's in marvel match up but the reality is they don't. Just go look at the actual facts. As far as comic s go in any comic universe superman might as well be God him self. Even doctor manhatten realised it. Marvel and dc has alway s done the od crossover were they do a weak litteration of him so it looks like the hulk or thor could stand up or even beet him but if you go to the facts and actually take a full version of superman and the feats he has pulled in comic books ect then no marvel charictor couldent even scratch him let alone move as fast. I'd love to see a Marvel/DC crossover movie, like they did with the comics back in the day. They would have to be fighting some universe or multiverse-sized threat to all life, I guess. If only the studios could come to an agreement...

If Thanos knew about Superman, he would have kryptonite and a plan to defeat him. Without knowing about him a head of time he wouldn't stand a chance against him.
And where do you find Kryptonite in a reality where Krypton never existed?
And people tend to talk about plans as if by planning you can defeat the other characters. Batman has only beaten and superman with his plans just because Supes never wants to really hurt him.
And that's not counting Superman himself can make plans too. Batman is the second most intelligent human in DC comics. Robert Downey Jr., Reed Richards and Peter Parker are the same in Marvel comics. Kal-El is not human. He comes from a race hundreds of thousands of years more advanced and evolved than humanity. He's the last descendant of one of the most intelligent families among his own race.
Good luck making plans against a being with such power and intelligence and WHO KNOWS YOU ARE AN ENEMY.
@@albertmas3752 well maybe not kryptonite but MCU Thanos which is the one that applies here is strong enough to beat the hulk without using the stones so the Batman companion isn't very good. Thanos is strong enough to at least push Superman which Batman would never be able to do. If knowing about Superman, he would have other options such as magic which his acolytes have the ability to use on Superman. He could also possibly figure out a way to neutralize the yellow sun to de-power Superman. Thanos is scientifically well advanced of Batman, as he was easily able to replicate the pym particle and time travel. That puts him above Tony intelligence wise as Tony could only do one of those.
To Thanos Kryptonite could be a weakness as well depends on writers.

The Justice League would likely tag Superman with a homing device before entering the MCU universe. Since Mother Boxes can open portals in every multiverse, Cyborg would be able to open a Boom Tube to the Marvel universe for Superman to step back through when it's time for him to come home

I would love to see Marvel and DC do a cross over where Superman gets thrown over to Marvel Universe and get stuck there for a while. I'd love to see how Superman would react to things and how his presence in Marvel Universe would influence it.

They do. It's called the Anti-life Equation, and Darkseid has tried to put his greedy purple hands on it since, well, forever. He always fails, because otherwise... let's just say that the name is NOT an exaggeration: the Equation can literally snuff out ANYTHING. It's basically the opposite of the force that created the universe.

Good story! But I've always thought that if Dr. Strange could leave Loki falling endlessly for an hour, as he did when Thor came to find Odin, and if he could cut off that goon's arm with his dimensional window closing on it, why couldn't he cut off Thanos' gauntlet arm, cut his head off, or leave him falling forever? Too easy, I guess.

@@maxpower6979there’s actually lore as to why they can only help to a certain degree. Besides the fact that there’s no guarantee that they wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the fell beasts and armies there. People say this all the time but forget that part of the task of the last fight at the gates was literally to get all eyes and bodies away from the mountain.

To my thinking, Strange did not find that there was only one possible winning situation, but rather he stopped once he found one very, very rare win scenario. He was likely thinking "I don't know *how* much longer it will take to find another winning version so I better stop here". ... To go on would have risked forgetting the details of winning that one time while searching for another.

With the Reality Stone in Thanos' possession, he could easily manipulate things to his favor. A Superman that shoots rainbows out of his eyes instead of heat beams is much less of a threat. The Infinity Stones power source is also very magic based, which historically Superman has had issues dealing with. Hard to really say how that fight would end up, but I don't think the fight would be that one sided.
The Infinity Stones aren't magic based at all. They are purely tied to the physics and rules which are the guidelines for the universe in which they come into being.
Superman is heroic enough that he would probably see through the illusion just like Cap did in the Avengers Assemble cartoon

He did it in Infinite Crisis and just ripped a hole in reality/time & space with his bare hands in Action #1050. Seems like any reality altering effects he could just break through as he has been shown able to do in canon. Unless this is DCEU Superman only in which case I agree 👍 (since his power levels aren't even close to his comic counterpart)

In the comics the first avengers members were hank pym antman and Janet vandyne wasp. Captain America joined them later when avengers found him on frozen.

If Superman had been in the Marvel Universe when Thanos first arrived, there'd be no Thanos. The only one comparable to Superman in the MCU is Captain Marvel. I'm a DC fan, so I am a bit biased. But even if I weren't, I'd stand by that statement.
