I ordered one mold in October 2020 from rubbermoldman. On the website it appeared this item was in stock -- already made. So I went ahead and paid... It was "ready" near the end of December. Shipped in mid January. It finally arrived first week of February. I live on the west coast of Canada. I was excited to have a look at it. I stupidly picked up the mold with fibreglass backing, and was jabbed by fibreglass slivers. It wasn't smooth like others I'd purchased. I won't be buying from him again. This experience has given me the incentive to make my own however -- Silver lining of this story! :-)
I agree that comments should be turned on - a one sided ramble isn't helpful. *Grin*

I agree with you on all points. I don’t buy molds to order because 2-3 months is too long to have so much money tied up. Even when I make my own if I really want I can get a mold done in under a month and a half for a large one

Could you make a tutorial on how to make the fiber glass mother mold?
I purchased four molds back in Feb 2023. It took 3.5 months before I received. The quality is exceptional but the wait is long

hi,great vid,but the problem youhave withseam on budda head can be solved bysanding it down when removed from mold,rubbermoldman has vid on this,check it out
I know how to fix a seam, the problem is, you can not hide the seam 100% and the seam should not ever go up the front of a statue, it should go up the back........ Also, if i was selling this mold, i would have declared this to the buying before selling it.....
Rubber Mold Man has a tutorial on how to remove that seem. It is actually really easy to.
I know how to repair the seam but it's still a bad place to put it. Its can not be repaired 100% unless it gets painted. At least you are allowed to comment on my video 🤣😅
@@victoria653 Yeah that seam was a fail. A small seam halfway up the back would have been plenty for a simple shape such as that Buddha head.

I've been waiting almost 5 months and all I get is personal reasons on why I haven't gotten my molds. Honestly, if your running a business your personal downfalls in life are not my concern. Then he gets an attitude because I'm not compassionate And that he prefers not doing business with people like me.Are you kidding me? If thats the case he should get paid when he mails the molds and Not take peoples money and think that its ok to mail the molds 21 plus weeks later. I still haven't received my molds.We should all report him to the better business bureau. I did.

I have emailed him with questions, I'm new to making concrete critters/statues. He never replies back! I ordered a mold only, no fiberglass backup, still waiting & it's been a month. I agree that he should allow ppl to comment. Is it maybe that his molds aren't as great as he claims & he doesn't want that info getting out there? 🤔 Either way, as a newbie I contacted him for advice & no reply back. To me that is unprofessional to say the least. Doesn't take 5 mins to reply back. I know he's probably busy but damn, don't tell ppl to feel free to email him with questions or comments if he has no intention of answering. 😡 On his CZcams videos, I think I've watched them all, he is more interested in letting ppl know he sells his molds so we will buy them, but to hell with answering an email from a newbie asking questions....🤬🤬🤬
Thanks for the comment, this seems very common with people i have talked to. Lots of issues with him. People not getting their molds and no reply back
@@victoria653 I better get my mold or I'll sue him! I have an email with my receipt from a credit card payment, so I have proof. Keep up your videos, they are very educational!
I’d say he has the worst molds on the market
as for the wait for molds to arrive,you have to take into consideration that he,s one guy doin all this and he may have other buyers waiting as well
He says 4 to 8 weeks for shipping. I have had people messaging me saying they have been waiting over 8 months. I think he should be more clear on the time to ship.
