    I honestly don't understand, Dervish Pasha had been warned, he could have escaped before the council
    he would have lost all office and power, but at least he would have remained alive!

      Exactly. Both Dervish and Ibrahim were extremely close to their sultans and let that power go to their heads. Their arrogance led to their deaths. They thumbed their noses at the rules and thought they'd never be held accountable but paid with their lives.

      Dervish killed sultan Ahmed's father or you can say he killed sultan mehmed the third, and he has done a lot of corruption as well
