Today we are getting personal. This was the hardest video for me to script and film, but it's out there in the You-niverse!

Love your story! As a technician I always felt sympathetic towards those that had to have a corneal transplant. Often telling patients that we will become like family.

Dr Lee thank you for dedicating your life to helping other people. I’ve been binging on your videos to educate myself on upcoming cataract surgery. My first visit discovered I had tearing around my retina and was able to get laser surgery the next day to repair it. Tomorrow I go to see if it was a success and then should be able to continue with cataract surgeries in about 3 weeks. I can somewhat relate to your horrifying story about the corneal injury. When I was in my early 20s (early 1970s) wearing soft lenses, I had them in all day and was up all night before I took them out to go to bed. After sleeping I woke up and had excruciating eye pain, couldn’t hardly open them as they were very painful. Called the eye doctor and he said I torn the membrane off my eyes and it would take about 24 hours to feel better. He was right, it got better pretty quick but man was it painful! Thanks again for all the great info.
