The SY-200 builds on the massive success of the SY-1, taking all its 121 different synth sounds while adding 50 more to the mix for a grand total of 171 synthetic textures ranging from arpeggios, sequencing, bass synths, strings, ethereal swelling synth pads, stacked dual synths, leads and much much more. The SY-200 also features a programmable Control switch that can do anything from Tap Tempo, infinite sustain and pitch shifting, while expression in, fx loop and MIDI control add even more flexibility to it. But the real kicker is that you can now store and recall up to 128 presets on the pedal itself, making it a breeze to take these amazing sounds from the studio to the stage.

Not interesting ! The most interesting is a string ensemble, violin, good organ, accordéon, mellotron, harmonica, 12 strings guitar, horns, acoustic guitar
but not with this kind of not natural sounds I prefer my midi simulations
about the synths, it can do the job but does it really sound like "Jump" ? not sure !
Dude seriously, you do some of the best demos out there. Especially the outro jam has send me right into another life as the captian of a spaceship in an alternate dystopian sci-fi reality, ready to face destiny. Please keep them coming.

Get the sy-300. Can do way more with it. Sy-1 and Sy-200 are just limited versions of it.

Best Demo of this pedal on YT. Now i understand, that it's much more versataile, than i thought. For Guitarists, that don't have a lot of money to waste, it is important, to know if they could use quite expansive stuff before buying. Thank you, good job! God... Honestly this is your best demo yet. Every time I watch a new video from you, you never fail to top your previous one. You're really doing the pedal community a valiant service by doing these demos. Side note: I just bought the Enzo to pair with my Data Corrupter and now I'm thinking i need to make a completely separate board just for synthesis so it can be differentiated from my more classic effects on my main board.

Great demo: thanks for covering some uses for the CTL, this was the hardest part to grasp about this pedal at first.
Thank you! I'm happy to hear I was able to clarify some of the potential the CTL switch holds. That's truly where a lot of the SY-200's magic is hidden.
I think Boss/Roland did something really special here and you did of course too. That Bladerunner Vangelis esque sound where the EQ devices avalanche run and expression pedal sweeps are very Yamaha CS 80 like. When thinking how rare and expensive an original CS80 is, this is pretty damn good. I don't think that even Yamahas own digital Reface CS synth comes close emulating what they did ages ago. Inspirational and good for creativity.

Maaaaaan! That very first jam was soooo freaking epic man, truly one of my favorites. It was after that jam that I took out my wallet and shook out all the cobwebs - what a great (and dangerous) showcase of musical applications of this pedal. This thing is deep!

Stefan, this is a great demo that shows what the SY-200 can do. Most of the other demos I've seen simply highlight the preset sounds. I love that you used the CTRL functions and expression pedal in your showcase, and showed how useful the effects loop can be. Totally outstanding! Your creative spark is inspirational. I was on the fence about this pedal. Not any more! I think it will transform the sound of my 3-piece band.

I bought this pedal on a whim a couple nights ago. After watching this video I genuinely can't wait to play with it.
I own a SY-300 and I love it for being able to create sounds from scratch. But I honestly believe that the SY-200 will suit more people because most will be wanting something like a "synth saw lead" sound and tuning it to their tastes which is exactly what this thing does plus it has more than enough of it's own weirdness to play around with.
Yeah, it's a good thing that both products exist. The SY-1 and SY-200 are great plug-and-play solutions for people that want synth sounds, but don't fully understand synthesis. And the SY-300 and SY-1000 are for people that want get deep into the Oscillators, ADSR, EG and LFO of things.
Oh maaaan this thing with the amazing reverbs & delays you make = amazing!

This is the BEST demo ever!!! I JUST BOUGHT ONE and it's on it'se way!! I went to Sweetwater, got the creditcard, and for 2 more days, they have a 7 dollar, no interest plan. I logged into the bank account and gave them the last 4 digits of the card, so I didn't have to wait for the card. I have a Boss ME-80 I'm hooking up to this, and I have a Boss Vo-1 Vocoder. It's the best thing since sliced bread, because I can sing Brittany Spears, Hit Me Baby One More time, and it sound phenominal! I also have a coudburt but it's at Church but I'll put it in the chain sometime. I honestly believe, I have basically everything I need because the Boss ME-80 takes care of all the stuff, I just need a single expression pedal now for the SY-200, and I need the Sy-1 as well. All of this needs to go on a pedal board, which I don't have yet lol. Good times.

That's amazing Stefan! Such a versatile pedal with a lot of amazing sounds. I loved the ambient organ sound you programmed at 19:30 and 6:00 minutes in was pure Xanadu with a sound very close to that of a Moog Taurus. So many highlights and another super demo my friend! ❤
