1st: the Chef Bunet gets a 5-star for serving a delicious victory by delivering the enemies his cold steel crits, hehehehe "Dinner is served" 2nd: Seadall, dancers are not normally meant to be in killers but watching him do crack shoot and a follow up crit is very rewarding to go for. All of his crit quotes made him cooler 3rd: Zelkov, first time to actually hear him use french words for a deadly blow. gives a lot more chill to the spine
I don't wanna be a contrarian but is it MEANT to sound forced? Normally I'm into that kind of character but with Yunaka it just makes me wanna roll my eyes 'cause it sounds less like "I'm actually serious" and more "this is my batman impression"

The funny thing about Mauvier's quotes is that he uses the same lines as he does an ally as an enemy. I got crit by him in Elusia's Port and he started talking about redemption like he joined Sombron in order to atone for some even worse shit he did in the past.
Lindon completely took me off guard. He looks like the pope, so I expected him to be a High Priest and his quotes to be along the lines of "Repent, sinner! Please forgive me!" But it turns out he's a crit mage and his quotes are basically "What's gonna happen when I apply 1.21 Gigawatts to your cranium???"
Love how the Lythos units almost fit the bill for shared crit quotes but just miss the mark. (Vander's "Underestimate me at your peril", Clanne's "Never underestimate me", and Framme's "Tougher than I look" all basically mean the same thing) It would be neat if Alear had a similar quote to round it out too.

Panette is hilarious. I like how she says “You looking down on me?” then transitions right back to a super proper “My goodness how awful!” I really like her dress too and the animations in her default class Who’s your favorite in Engage btw? Zelkov has some pretty interesting quotes cause three of them he's speaking in a completely different language which I'm guessing is his homeland's native tongue and he's the only one that does so.
i think a very interesting point of note is that Elusia have the only royal/retainer pairs that don’t share critical quotes, and this is most likely because Ivy didn’t choose her retainers (it’s noted that retainers to the royal children are hand picked by the king) and Hortensia’s aren’t actually her retainers, they’re her friends from school (only called her retainers cause it’d be weird if she was the only royal to not have retainers)
I love all of these, but “Look what you made me do” is probably my favorite. I like Zevolk as well. Seeing him talk foreign really makes me wish Petra talked in an foreign language 😭 I still like her a lot though
I love crit quotes because I feel they bring out a characters personality more effectively than crit animation, I wish they bring back the close up of the characters face that flashes right before the hit because it feels empty without it

Definitely agree with the quotes showing personality. It wasn't until I saw one of Yunaka's wake-up events and her S support that I noticed her voice changes a bit during battle, showing that she falls into familiar habits when relying on her skill sets. It lines up with her backstory of being an assassin in her former life. Just a really cool detail.
I love Goldmary she’s hilarious. I don’t know how (seemingly) no one has come up with her trope diversion yet where she’s just (rightfully and deservedly) egotistical , it’s fantastic

Zelkov speaking french is glorious the fact retainers share their lords crit quotes again like in fates is beautiful- I love Yunaka's especially cuz of the lore behind it- I'm deff curious about the emblems crit quotes, cuz some of them are actually hard to trigger unless in arena and they have a crit chance, or in their actual paralogues where on a higher difficulty several of them got some decent crit. units with low luck'd prob be needed I think for some like Roy, Micaiah or Leif(depends on if its arena or their paralogue on hard/maddening) I know for sure the 3H emblem(all 3 chars, but mostly Claude and Edelgaurd)+Tiki got pretty great crit chances so they're likely easy to trigger.(Claude Crit me twice and Edel had high crit in the %30 but never crit me once)
I think you can get the Emblems' lines themselves with their engage attacks, but it's not the emblem saying them. I find Leif and Lyn the two easiest to get due to the Killer Axe/Bow and Light Brand.
Every single one Timerra's lines is absolutely perfect in both writing and voice acting, with the animation on top of it. I'm low manning the main story with her, the protagonist, Anna, Vander, Céline, Mauvier, and sometimes Seadall for the dancing utility. Still feels like a complete team. I like Anna's window shoppers line too.

I have similar sentiments on Axe Hero Lapis.
Feel it just fits better than Swordmaster, even though she needs an emblem to gain access to it.
It's kinda neat that the royals share a quote with their respective retainers, but I wish that meant there were more unique ones instead of just 4 per character.
Kagetsu's "even mighty ones fall," goes real hard for me. Pandreo's "REPENT" too. Of course all of Yunaka's are good, the tonal shift is too good.
