Greatest guy ever. Needs his own podcast
I remember being 12 years old, sitting in the back of my cousin’s car when an ad for Vulgar Display of Power came on the radio. I had never heard of Pantera, but as soon as I heard that main riff in Mouth For War I became determined to find that album as soon as humanly possible.
Phil, let your hair grow out.
@@waynekeer I know,right!
@@johnalexander2944 this week i listened 2 pantera full albums . They are so good. Music stay forever
@@waynekeer RIGHT ON DUDE, WE METAL HEADS LIVE ON!!!🤘🤘🤘BTW ,SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY!🙂
Dude, nearly identical experience here. I was around the same age, maybe a little younger, and my older cousin of 10 years picks me up in his Blazer. I climb in the passenger seat, he hits play on his tape deck, and "Walk" comes on. I was like "WTF is happening in my ears right now and how can I get more?". HAHAHA!
Phil is the best ever. Listen to pantera everyday.
Vulgar display of power will always be my favorite metal album ever created
I seen Pantera at Tec World in 1989 and Philip was trying to get me to get on the tour bus but I was scared. He handed me a Pantera patch and that was my first time meeting him. We've met 3 times now. Awesome character! ❤️
I saw Pantera open for skid row in Asheville nc just before vulgar was released and they played a lot of the album, Philip helped us start the pit and it was life changing. Thank you Philip and Rex for all the years of great music 🤘 hope to see you 2 do some stuff together. The best bass player and best front man together again would be awesome! awesome! awesome !
He looks and sounds great, and by all accounts is loving life.
Saw the premiere on Headbanger’s Ball. Very cool song and music video!
Legendary
Vulger is one of the greatest metal albums of all time
I fucking love this guy 😁😁🔥🔥
Dudes, save your short clips for IG, this is YT, you can upload the whole interview. This is a nonsense
I bet Vinnie Paul would have downplayed Phil's role in creating riffs.
Maybe, but you know it happens all the time, what the guitarist actually does in those times is refine it and make it better, I have zero doubts that Phil actually wrote that riff, it does not take away from the genious that was Dimebag in anyway.
@@Exera80 Exactly. 1+1=3
What kind of cult are you in that believes this type of trash? I don't think Vinnie would have said anything. Show me a time when he said Phil didn't contribute to a song that Phil said he did. Just one time. I'll wait right here.
@@GeekFurious you know he bashed Phil constantly after Dimebags passing. Show me a time he said some nice or uplifting things about him. Just one time. I will wait right here.
@@GeekFurious Probably not going to find it, so I wouldn't sit around waiting, Vinnie had his issues with Phil, rightfully so I might add, but none of them was with Phil saying he contributed (because everyone with half a brain knows everyone in Pantera did).
