CREATING AN ABSTRACT ART JOURNAL PAGE

Do you enjoy junk journaling and art journaling? Do you like to get creative with mixed media and collage. Maybe like me you have lots of scrap papers sitting about as well as unused art supplies. So why not get creative with me and put them all to use. Let's turn those unused papers and supplies to good use and turn them into unique junk and art journal pages.
In this video I make a mixed media page using the Masterboard I created last week and I use scraps of paper for collage - this is my week 10 page for my 2024 concertina / accordion art journal / junk journal. I also briefly use my gel plate to monoprint some of the paper scraps. This journal is about using my scraps and my stash of papers as well as a variety of art supplies. It's about turning trash to treasure or turning unused items to treasure. It is a mix of junk journaling and art journaling. It is a bit different - to usual journals as I will creating the journal page by page each week. I'll be using my scraps and using my stash as much as possible. #mixedmedia #useyourscraps #concertina

The concertina / accordion journal I am creating can be regarded as an #artjournal or a #junkjournal - it's up to you what you want to call yours.Whatever you call it, I will be showing how you can create each page using #collage and #mixedmediatechniques . Whether art journal pages or #junkjournalpages we are going to have fun turning #trashtotreasure. This was an amazing journey, so many steps. Loved it every step of the way, and so pleased with the final outcome!! I would never have thought to add the Stazon, but love the definition it gave. Kylie, your videos always inspire me with their colour, pattern and depth. I love the fabric sticks to your fingers and your scissors will no doubt be covered in glue. It is so real and reassuring.
