    Did you ever make another video on what you thought of the mapping? I'm curious about MPG. I have a 2013 WR450 and was able to buy a tuner from EBAY today. I only bought the tuner because I'd like to upgrade my muffler only an I know it needs a new map to do so. A little late in the game for a 2013 but the bike sat for some time and I'm just now starting to upgrade it.

      I used several maps. If you are just adding a silencer not a full system you shouldn't need remapping. The tuner is really just to trim the fueling to riding style. Check out the forums on your year bike on Thumpertalk com.

      @@azdesertdog Yeah, I'm only looking to add a slip on silencer and not a full system. I was under the impression that doing so would still require remapping the ECU. Good to know.

      Not sure. Try with the bike powered on and the bike powered off. A good for information source is a site called thumpertalk.com. There is a section for WR450 in there.

      Yamaha website says you need GYTR competition ECU to use the power tuner

      Thanks for watching Dale. It is a great map for desert riding where you can run into many types of trails. The thing about the Power Tuner is that it is not like adding nitros or a super charger. It just moves the power around to the areas you want it. The GYTR programmable ECU it a power boost over stock. Other than a skid plate it's the best money I spent on the bike.

    What should i do if my GYTR Power Tuner always Failure To Connect To ECU (WR450F 2013)

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Před 4 lety

      Try connecting with the bikes power off. Maybe your connect is dirty. I am not sure. I haven't had that issue.

      Did you replace the stock ECU with the competition ECU? If you have not, that could be your issue

      Go to a site called Thumpertalk. Look for the WR450 section. There are a ton of maps in there. Thanks for watching.

    Hello there , from where you get gytr ecu for WR450F 2014

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Před 3 lety

      I bought it at the dealer ship with the bike. They are no longer available there. You do see them on ebay occasionally.

      A question, my GYTR ecu does not work , Is it possible to use stock ecu with modified airbox and gytr header with lexx muffler???

    In the end (present day) which map do you use?

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Před 4 lety

      Great question. I use the FMF map. It gives the best response and less overheating. It does guzzle gas though. If I were to go on a 100 mile trip I would look to a leaner map.

    Hello there i have a question is it normal for the efi bike to die at fast throttle twist on idle

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm not 100% sure on your question. If the bike is cold and you have the enricher on it may stall if it isn't warmed up yet. I would not suggest revving a cold bike to full throttle. There is only one quart of oil that may not be fully circulated. Hope that helps.

    • @ibrahimyahmadi3897
      @ibrahimyahmadi3897 Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for reply . I did mean full throttle. I mean fast twist to about a half throttle. My efi dies if i did fast throttle twist . Mine is uncorked bike with modified airbox

    • @ibrahimyahmadi3897
      @ibrahimyahmadi3897 Před 2 lety +1

      I did not mean full throttle ( correction )

    I can't get my plug out it's stuck

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Před 5 lety

      It's probably not stuck it's just a pain. The smaller part remains on the bike the larger part of the plug pulls away. There is a tab on the larger part that you can move with a small screwdriver. If that doesn't work hit it with some compressed air. Keep at it. Don't force it.
