Can really appreciate night time driving. I do wish it had ambient lighting and a full digital cluster.
Just so you all know my gen 3.3 t 2019 runs like a champ at 80, 000 miles in two years. My only cost is oil and tires.I would've killed any Beemer by now. I only race it. Everyday on mountain roads and freeway.

The ambient lighting in the Gv70 is stunning. Surprise it not offered in all Genesis line.

The best looking car in its class period, but no ambient light is a missed opportunity and a big deal for me, but I'm sure after-market can fix that.
I also really dislike the partial digital display, should be full digital like competitors, aside that overall package is solid 👌
I agree and I'd take the ambient lighting over some of the other features, that most folks won't use in a sports car. I have a 2022 sports advanced package with the sports prestige and thats really the one thing I was very surprised to not see.
Which competitors are full digital in this class?

I bought the car, 3.3T Sport Prestige at sticker. Considering that fully loaded, this undercuts a similarly optioned M340i or CT5V by about $12,000 to $15,000, I really don't mind the lack of ambient lighting, and the half digital display is ok. I like the way the analog speedo and fuel gauge look, and the lane change camera in the digital half is super useful when driving in traffic. Responds on/off way faster than the similar system in my previous car, a 2020 Civic Si. Anyway, the car has been killed off because it wasn't selling, so RIP.

Coming out of a '20 Stinger GT2 into a '22 G70 Sport Prestige, I was highly disappointed with the fact that there is no ambient lighting and no adaptive headlights at the price point I paid which was a significant amount over MSRP due to the shortage here in the midwest for the mandalorian grey and Siberian Ice colors. Other than that you'd be hard pressed to find a package like this at the price point. Now if you pair it with a JB4......

Love the refreshed G70 in white (Siberian ice) and everlasting silver. I think I’m ok with the instrument cluster not being fully digital. Maybe Genesis will make it optional in the future..? 🤔
Ambient lighting is a must have in a Luxury Sports car.
The car is perfect…except no ambient lights.
That’s a huge miss on something that’s easy to fix/add during production. Gotta fix that Genesis

Great review man, though I don’t like how they took away the adaptive headlights, heated rear seats and power trunk even though the price increased slightly. I do like the enhanced technology, and the full LED taillights, so overall a positive refresh in my book 🙌.

Hi, by this video it looks like the NX 2022 has better headlights- both low and high. And it also has the fogs light with side-turn lights. Since night video in itself is hard to do, from you actual driving experience, would you agree? BTW, Love your night reviews esp the actual driving on a very dark road. Thanks

What I find strange is that the G70 rides on the same chassis as the Kia Stinger (which has ambient lighting) so its odd that the G70 doesn't have ambient lighting. Hopefully, they add it in a facelift.

does it have the reverse lights projecting on the floor? i remm. a review where they showcased that reverse light function. when in reverse it projects a light on the floor like how you would see in the reverse camera in the car infotainment
I think the colored ambient lighting was a huge miss. Even it’s sister car the less premium option has ambient lights
No ambient lighting when one of these fully loaded is the same price as a base priced gv70 is definitely a deal breaker for me.

Personally, I would get the Kia Stinger instead of the g70. I think the Stinger looks better and it has a much bigger trunk for the same price.
I think you're spot on, but I will say that the G70 has the better ride when equipped with the adaptive suspension.
