The major difference here is that Lucifer did everything for his own selfish benefit, while Charlie genuinely cares for others and wanted to help them better themselves.
The sad thing is that there are very few who are willing to give up their sinful ways and fully commit to redemption. It's a conscious decision that demands time, effort, and diligence.
That's exactly the point of this show. Not everyone in hell is willing to change, Charlie said that herself, but she still believes there are others willing to change and be happy.

As beautiful as this is and I love the fact that Lucifer is hugging Charlie. The issue is Lucifer and all of his demons want to corrupt humanity so they fall to hell so as much as he loves his daughter he can’t openly support us without possibly losing his seat in hell.
... He king of hell only because he's more than capable of beating the ever loving shit out of everyone lol
If this was more faithful to the bible Lucifer would be even more upset. He sees humanity as inferior and not worth their worship which is why he stood his ground against God. A single human being redeemed would not change his mind at all, because there's billions of other humans in hell where he believe they belong (under his rule as inferiors).
@@petnaby Not necessarily. There are different versions of the story, one version is that he loved humans and thought they deserved free will without God threatening them with eternal torture or something like that
@@petnaby everyone knows the actual story as told in the bible, the goal of hazbin and other shows like it (lucifer and good omens for example) is to bring a refreshing take to the story and/or point out flaws in it. @@grapesoda2207 refreshing take.? Lucider being sympathetic in media ain't really refreshing nowadays
I know Alastor is either pissed that it actually worked or broken that it actually worked
I think it's neither I think he's probably in stock and probably questioning everything. He had the mindset that demons have lost their chances I can see him don't need the two ways. One he tried himself to repent because his mother is in heaven and he was a mama's boy so I can see him trying to redeem himself to see his mother. Or try to kill Lucifer and take power to stop it from happening wedge he can never do and he knows that. I think he would have an identity crisis and is a chance because of abandon the business and just trying to comprehend everything I think he made he tried to redeem himself actually or try
@@thermslusitania1151 that’s what I meant by broken lol
Broken= shock, confusion, questioning his very existence since he has been down there
Tho that’s cool what you think of the rest
Definitely pissed. He wanted to see Charlie fail. And when she succeeded he basically knew that all he invested in was for a waste of his own time.
@Ordinary Little Bastard Well, if all this was simply for "new entertainment", surely he wouldn't mind that much? He'd have to enjoy seeing the different ways people struggle to better themselves after this, because some people just don't have it in them to change that drastically... Wouldn't he find enjoyment in betting which ones would or wouldn't make it now that he knows its possible?
(And someone else brought up that his mother was probably in heaven so he'd want to go there to see her again. I like that idea)
Or both
Like father like daughter... prove thy father incorrect. And yet, the grandfather might need a few parenting lessons from the son.
Or in another draft like father like son, but that’s just the pessimist in me
Eh debatable
To be fair God knows everything so he knew that this was going to happen and that Charlie would redeem everyone, all apart of God's plan.
Yup. If my kid ends up proving me wrong, instead of a beating, I'm applauding them for it. Especially if they do it like Charlie and back then Luci did, by showing undeniable evidence to back up their claim.
@@everettcosta1848 So if he knew everything, why didn't he prevent the temptation? Why did he allow Lucifer to prove him wrong, if he can't accept the fact that Lucifer is right?
Duuuude this just made me start wondering what they'll do with Charlie's dad. Knowing the story of Lucier, it's actually really interesting to consider that he's been betrayed by God himself, yet his own daughter wants to send the demons of his world to Heaven. That's gonna be wild!!
Well, Lucifer betrayed god first by tempting Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
@@vanesalodico7798 yeah

Yeah. And based on what Vivzie said, Luci has one major flaw as a dad, but if we ignore that, he's actually a pretty good parent. Also, she didn't say what that was, because she wants to explore it in the show.

Ten dollars says the radio demon realizes this is way larger than just a game for him to enjoy and shanks Charlie to destroy the only path to true redemption Hell has ever known, because if people actually have true hope, no one can fall into true despair ever again, and that's no fun at all
I mean, this IS Hell we're talking about, I'd be surprised if everyone was just willing to let this slide
If he shanked Charlie, he'd be bringing Lucifers (and Lilith) wrath on his fluffy head.
Best part was how Lucifer recognized a pivotal moment mirroring his own fall from grace and instead of copying his father decided to do what he would have wanted his father to do instead.
As much as I want this to be what ends up happening, there’s a cynical part of me that feels like Vivziepop has other plans given the dark nature of the show.
Yeah... it's implied strongly that redemption is impossible not cause of it being a gated community or redeeming demons is impossible. But because hell isnt the only place overcrowded... heaven would need to purge people too if they let anyone in. So they just send everyone to hell where they can be purged.
Unless alot of the stuff mentioned gets retconned... well her dad might've had a reason for thinking it impossible that doesn't involve him looking down on his daughter.
@@ArchivedFox i acctually think redemption Is mostly imposible in the scense that for redemption to start one needs to want it
I love the different motives and results between Charlie and Lucifer.
Lucifer wanted to prove the worst of people, and doing so he did a horrible thing that helped no one and only caused himself and others to be damned and disowned by their Father.
Charlie, however, wants to prove the best of people, and by doing this one good thing she managed to give everyone else the hope that their own redemptions are possible. A hope that even Lucifer himself starts to believe in now that he sees that he was wrong and his daughter was right all along. By accepting Charlie's belief of everyones' ability to overcome their inner darkness and find the light, he begins his first step to the road that might lead him back to Heaven and to his Father's forgiving embrace.
I love how Lucifer is just so happy that his daughter made it, and then Alastor is just like: "Fuck! This wasn't supposed t-to fucking happen!"
Luci proved God wrong about humans and him being not perfect. Charlie proved to him that the damned souls can be redeemed.
It's moments like when the child proves their parents, especially the father that they aren't perfect or right gives me that feeling. A feeling that I'm not always at the wrong, they just don't want to say I'm right.
Crazy, it's the other way around! Luci believed that humans were NOT superior, nor perfect as he believed... typical of a proud and arrogant person while Charlie proved the opposite to his father and that's why he redeemed a demon, which even Luci himself never managed to something he never got to do because of his pride
I’m surprised that Lucifer isn’t bitter and jealous and angry. Especially considering that the redeemed are going up to live with his father who cast him out. On the other hand, I get that he’s trying to be “better than God” and that this is how you do it. It’s a question of what wins out; the bitterness or the intelligence, the jealousy or the love.
Good opinion
That...or he could be genuinely happy for Charlie proving him wrong. Granted this is The Lucifer so...hindsight is 50/50. Fingers crossed. 😅
he loves his daughter
If this is the direction the show would go in, Alastor will be the one to say, "No, this simply will not do... everything I have accomplished down here, to be taken away... I will correct this slight"
This aged like a fine wine
I hope this actually becomes canon in the series.
I'm honestly scared it won't happen after seeing the one scene of the angel Adam being straight up rude to Charlie.
The lead-in to this scene was a condemned soul entering the Happy Hotel several episodes earlier. It showed promise and progress and struck up a friendship with Charlie. Then the next purge happened. During the chaos and confusion, Charlie found herself targeted by an exterminator angel. But before the fatal blow struck, the condemned soul pushed Charlie out of the way, taking the blow in her stead. This act of sacrifice triggered the scene...
What about the exterminators? (Who I wish to turn their bones into a throne along with other angels)

Lucifer believed humans to be flawed, and he was right, but instead of explaining his plan God just sent him down to hell. Charlie believes that sinners can be redeemed, and she was right, and here we see Lucifer not lashing out and instead accepting his mistake. Ah i love this fandom
Alastor might change his ways to finally reunite with his mother
I feel like this would be a brilliant in a series or season finale. After all of the struggles (some of which will be repeated for sure), Charlie was able to prove to everyone that redeeming a sinner is possible. And instead of casting her out, Lucifer accepted that he was in the wrong. It seems to wrap things up nicely.
I love how Chalice and Alastor's redesigned were used in this. Who else noticed?
The fact that the artist of this comic drew Charlie in her after design makes me feel so serene and joyful. I can't wait for this and a demon’s redemption to happen but in a different version in Vivziepop’s head.
A scary idea popped into my head after seeing this, if this is how the show will go:
The Overlords will hate this, won't they?
Take Valentino, for example; Everyone that 'works' for him felt they had no way to leave Val because they fear what he'd do to them.
Now, there's an option to escape him. For Angel to escape him. Val would definitely pull out all the stops to secure what he owns.
In other words, Charlie & the hotel residents will have huge targets on their backs.
Alastor is also another thing to worry..... he'd definitely wouldn't take this well.
Why not?
Alastor is a weird man. He can go either way.
But I do like the idea of him opposing redemption only to slowly falling into it.
"In you're face dad!"

Y'all may say that its just funny, but if this demon that is Alastor is shocked by that, all the rest of hell will probably follow with a similar reaction.

Sad fact : If Charlies Theory of rehabilitating sinners of hell and getting them to heaven is successful, Charlie and IMP (Helluva Boss Cast) will never be able to go to heaven, because they are hell born.
Charlie’s friends will all go to heaven, while she has no choice but to smile and wave as her friends move on without her..
I think they know that. But I have a feeling that they’ll be able to visit
Maybe that is the beauty of it.
Not only her friends.... Her PARENTS can leave as well.
And this is what a True Messiah does. Endures for the others.
Charlie will probably end the serie (Hopefully) as Queen of Hell. The Saintess that Rules in Hell.
They'd be able to visit! After fixing the corrupt system of judgement entirely and proving people could change to be better people I feel like they wouldn't just go ' Yeahhhh but- hellborn so nuh uhhh no visitinggg '
Everyone else: genuinely surprised or happy
Alastor: utterly terrified
I didn't even think about. But Lucifer and Charlie are on opposite sides of the issue.
Lucifers been cast down, hes been in Heaven.
Charlie was born in hell, and wants to see people ascend.
This would be a great season 1 finale for Hazbin Hotel
It would also lead to an interesting thought. Now that Lucifer is supporting the hotel, do they still need Alastor? An episode centered around that would be a great for the start of season 2
Charlie never actually shook hands with him, so...😅
What’s makes me even happier, is the fact that Lucifer choose a different path…
Where as God choose to punish Lucifer and cast him out, for proving him wrong.
Lucifer choose to admit that he was wrong and congratulated Charlie for her hard work paying off… This just shows how much Lucifer has grown as a person and a father.

As sweet and wholesome as this was, I think it would be kind of funny if the soul she just redeemed came right back to hell like "Ugh! That place sucks! Everything looks like a pastel drawing in a children's book and the whole 'pure-hearted goodness' thing is phoned in. Fuck heaven, this is my home!"
Or, for a more morbid ending, as the angel ascends, he starts to undergo a painful transformation into a biblically accurate angel, and just completely loses all his thoughts, memories and qualities to become a being of pure divinity and servitude to god.
You know, that's how I actually see the ending of HH, Heaven and Hell are allegory for humanity in this series, former representing the socialites and latter representing the working class and poor
While that sounds funny, a morbid part of me imagines Lucifer hearing that and being absolutely mortified at what Heaven sounds like.
Like, that wasn't what Heaven was like when HE was up there. What happened while he was gone?
I'm actually almost expecting that to happen at some point in the show!
I'd like to think they'd have a choice o nwhether or not they want to stay- Like they're redeemed, they can choose whether they want to leave or not
If this doesn’t happen at some point in the show, I’m writing a fanfic ✋ ✋

There probably will be some fallen who are just unfixable or have other motives to stop the redeemptions.

I love scenes like this, even if it's fan made. A parent who was wronged or denied by their parent, showing the love that they never had to their child. That is a sign of a God damn good parent. I can only hope that we see something like this in cannon.
When you dont watch the show but you love the fandom
I can definitely see this being a big season finale. Alastor's shocked scared face is also cool
My head cannon is that Lucifer did doubt Charlies plan would succeed but allowed her to run this experiment to see if redeeming souls is possible. BUT he declared that she is to receive NO help from ANY of the Lord of Sin, this includes him, so she can't use her family connections for funding and support from anyone. She will have to do this herself, and IF she succeeds it will be because of her hard work and effort and not because she got assistance from her family (Lucifer, Lilith, and the other Lords of Sin). Her victory if it works will be won fairly, if it doesn't then it was a good idea with her heart in the right place. Lucifer just doesn't want her to get her hopes up especially if she's using the aid of other high ranking rulers.

As the overseer of Pride, one might think Luie would have the opposite reaction to being proven wrong.
But in a way, it makes perfect sense he'd react this way instead.
He knows the satisfaction his daughter is feeling all to well, the pride of being right and proving a father's uncontested 'truth' wrong. And in Charlie's case, she's not just proving her dad wrong, but in a way, she's proving her grandfather wrong, too.
Pride might inseparable from the image of self, but it's also connected to the feelings of love and accomplishment. For a parent to see their child succeed in the face of impossible odds, it isn't out of the ordinary for a parent to be proud of their child's great accomplishments.
And what Charlie just accomplished puts the entire grand design into question.
