THANKS FOR WATCHING! - Jak na to + styl
The hot water in hose noticed this last year, I use soaker hose in the garden, the hoses leading to soaker hoses are several feet long. I run water till cold then hook up to soaker hose. I water early am 530 or 6 am. Water in hose was still hot as night temps stayed in the 90s. Thanks for the reminder.
I am happy for Linda. I don't comment much anymore because I get messages that are unpleasant.
Exciting to see the progress on the High Tunnel.
It's so wonderful to see how everything is growing so well.
Congrats to Linda on the Vego Novel Bed. What a blessing she's getting 😀
It's truly a paradise there at Pecan Grove.
Definitely have to be careful of the water temperature.
I have to be careful here when it gets hot out to watch the water temps.
Thanks so much for sharing all you have.
Rich blessings to you both. Your both amazing and just enjoy seeing what your growing and doing.
It's so strange to see your plants already producing when i can't even plant for about a month yet!
Congrats Linda!
Congrats Linda 🎉
I remember a couple years ago, my son offered to water the garden for me. He started spraying in the plants right away and I screamed stop. He jumpt and he turned off the water asking what was the matter. He thought there was a snake or snapping turtle. I told him to feel the water. He pulled his hand out real fast and said it was burning hot. I said exactly, and asked him to please run out all the hot water out first before it killed my plants. Now he always checks water temperature before watering anything.
I love garden too. We have not even planted yet. Thank you all for sharing😊
Your raised beds have some beautiful plants! Your plants are encouraging me. Thanks 😊
I live in Kansas and my cabbages are finally growing! Even the radishes are starting to grow. This weekend I plan to get a small kiddy pool to plant my strawberries in and some 5 gallon buckets to get the potatoes planted in , that is if the weather will let me. Take care and God bless.
Congratulations Linda! How exciting for you. I don't think I've ever seen radish bulbs that large. Everything is looking so good in all the beds and containers. I feel like I am so far behind, but then I have to remind myself we still have a month to go before our last frost date so I just need to be patient a little bit longer.
Congratulations Linda. Danny and ms Wanda I love seeing your gardens . Wonderful to see how well they are doing.. Blessings to you both and thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us.
Linda Congratulations on winning that Vego Bed.
I feel your videos is blessing enough. All the information your teaching us, to me that’s priceless.
Yes! Check water temp. In your hose. I realized this yesterday lol 😅 ❤
Congratulations Linda!!
And Danny and Wanda! Your beds look great. When I saw those huge radishes, it made me think…you have entered your promised land.
I’m still moving but 80% done and growing in bags in worse yard than I was in the last 33 yrs. Worse yard hills that don’t work, haven’t got a tiller yet to do correct tier planting either, etc. I planted my spring crop in bags, as soon as I threw in MrMickies copper wires in the bunched bags they grew over an inch in 2 days. I had almost forgotten last year, wow!
I lovve watching you with your plants, it's like they are young children you are so proud of, delightful, thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to Ms Linda as you enjoy your Vego Bed! Y’all are so funny…water temp could be the reason for the early veggies. Have a blessed week!
I love hearing the geese. I used to wake up each morning to them where I used to live. There is a pond across the street from where I live now, so I hear them occasionally, but not as often. Your garden beds look great. I am hoping to be able to afford some of the vego beds next year.
Congratulations Miss Linda! Everything in your beds looks so pretty and green.
Gorgeous plants! Happy homesteading! 🙏🏻❤️
I can’t get over how big your plants are 😍😍😍 I am late, just started my eggplants and watermelons. Have squash, tomatoes, flowers for pollinators going but all still small here in Atlanta. Was so hot for a couple days then very cold. Not freezing but still, tomatoes didn’t like that so I’m helping them to recover. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Us too. I’m about 2 hours from Atlanta and the swinging weather is not our friend! 😊
I am learning so much from yall! Danny is a great gardener! Aka MASTER GARDENER! 🎉
Yes, I have noticed that last year. I live in the city hopefully to move to the country one day. The water is hot when I turn on the faucet to water my garden. I just let the water run for awhile before I water the garden.
I know the feeling on “slow go” as our high tunnel delivered in Nov is still in the “to be done” line here. Yours is looking great! The fruit & veggies are beautiful!
The garden at Pecan Grove is so pretty. Miss Wanda I love petunias too congrats to Linda.
Yes sir….everything takes SO much longer now that I’m older….and slower. Just hired a reliable kids to clean up some issues on my 1/2 acre - he did a clean-up of a small fenced area that was PACKED with weeds. He did in 2 hours what would take me a week to accomplish. What a pleasure!
Danny - I’m getting such a kick watching you two with the Vegos and the raised tubs! It’s very inspiring for those of us with a small ppty. Dang, I’ve got 2 Early Girl tomatoes planted….oh well, never tried them before.
Learned that lesson several years ago when filling up a small kiddie pool for grandbaby and having to run into the house for a bucket of ice to cool it down.
I’m usually outside in the mornings when our geese come in. I love that sound too 😊 Hubby saw 6 baby geese on our pond last week ❤ Congratulations to Ms Linda on the Vego bed. I want some of those so bad but our budget won’t allow it 😢
Here in South Carolina, I have learned to shut the water off at the source/house before I finish watering and then I continue watering until it runs empty. That way I don’t have to let it run so long to get all the hot water out next time before I begin. Because it DOES get hot in the sun!
I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful garden! Thanks, too, for the reminder about the water hose.
Your vego beds look so neat and tidy. It’s going to look great when the high tunnel completed. .
We get a lot of geese like those as well. Sounds like home!! ❤
I love it all! ❤ It's just a fantastic place all around. Congratulations, Linda! I believe you'll love your Vego bed with that great new design!
Congratulations Linda! That was so sweet of you and Ms Wanda!
Congrats Linda!
I planted my squash and cucumbers and the wind is whipping them to beat the band! Everything else, English peas, tomatoes, beats, peppers are just fine.
Nice tip. Check the temperature of your water before watering.
I'm usually watering with warm water because our water is coming from our water catchments. It's never really hot, but definitely warm.
Greenhouse and plants in it looking great! Gonna miss seeing all that pretty green trees and skyb in the background when the plastic is on.
You are so kind to keep giving useful and valuable things to people. Just your knowledge is worth so much to me. My Vego beds are about ready to plant. I'm putting dirt in them tomorrow. I can't wait to plant. I have already planted some things in my mineral tubs.
Danny and Wanda, I grow several varieties of Tomatoes because they grow well for me, I have ways that I feed and plant my tomatoes that produce large amounts even during the very hot dry parts of summer the one exception is the Early Girl just doesn't compare with the others, that is the one tomato I will never plant again. The other thing I go by is the taste, I think my tomatoes here taste better than any others even our local growers and my 80 year old neighbor that loves tomatoes agrees he loves my tomatoes and even has them for breakfast with biscuits and gravy. (plus I really think he prays for my garden, I share with them as they are not able to garden.) But it is only fair to mention that the area I live in is know to grow great tomatoes. We use to have several tomato caning factories in our small county.
Eat the radish flower buds and young flowers. Also eat the radish young seed pods in salads. Amazing. Wow, your garden is really kicking off! Awesome!
Yes, I also found out years ago to avoid the Early Girl Tomatoes.
Congratulations Linda! The Vego beds are performing well!
Amen on the hot water in the hose, think about this also when filling your chicken waterers and also any other livestock, give them fresh cool water. I fixed my water hose real good, I sliced the top of it off with my mower and had to fix it today, lol.
Congrats Linda. Your plants are so beautiful Danny and Wanda
CONGRATS MS LINDA, ENJOY YOUR NEW GARDEN BED
My cauliflower was slow and really big one day they just popped I was even considering cutting them down. Think the rain made them pop. Last year did not know I had to tie them up. Gonna plant some more for the fall. Just learning
I just ordered 6 of the 17” 9 in 1 beds. I went to one of your videos to get the link. I hope y’all will get credit for it! I just ordered yesterday! Can’t wait to get them. Going to replace some of my raised beds that have wood framing. Also I have bought 3 of the tomato planters….
Congratulations Linda!👏🏻
Hopefully just 2 more weeks of chill and we can plant outside here in upstate NY.
Thanks for your generosity Pecan Grove!
I've noticed before that water from the hose could be too hot, and let it run till it's cooled off. I'm zone 6b and still not too hot yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. Congrats, Linda!
Everything looks beautiful! We have ordered 8 Vego beds to use here in the Mississippi Delta. I hope ours look as beautiful as y’all’s!
Congratulations, Linda!! As my mom would say, use it in good health!
I never thought about the water temperature! Thanks for the tip! And congratulations Linda!❤
Beautiful garden
Congratulations 👏 Ms Linda. Thank Ya'll so much for all ya'll do n share guys. Everything is looking so beautiful n lush Cadillac-ing.
You are really doing a great job on the high tunnel! I would be so happy.😊
Here in Rhode Island have grown Early Girls. Have observed that they love cooler weather. Your spikes over 80 may be doing them in. They appeared a bit yellowish leaves as well. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful garden!
*Perpetual overcast here NE.OH. Dbl Bubble wrap on water spike bottles & shade cloth in the ready. Yup. Sun freq too strong. Grow Zone changes a clue. Good News = w/ new container & Temp skills can grow whatever almost year round. *Some strains failing? if YT reports are true. Lincoln -vs- Early Girl suspicious. Thx for showing updates. -- 💌🍒
Wow, the plants really look great hopefully we will get a Vego bed soon so we can start our garden. Wanda and Danny your garden is really looking good.
Congratulations Linda 😊
Yes, I try to make sure the water coming out of my hose is not too hot. I learned that as a kid.
Everything looks great! I’ve got peppers here in FL already as well! Glad we’re having success, since the world is so uncertain!
Love watching your videos. It’s amazing how much work you get done.
I love your home an the high tunnel setup is a dream❤ those VEGO BEDS …. Oh my…..
Fantastic yall!!!
Those beds are SOME KIND OF CRAZY! 😅🤗👍💪🙏❤️ GREAT job guys!
Congratulations Linda. Garden beds looking great.
Congratulations Linda 🎊. The plants look beautiful. Thanks fir the tip on the cauliflower. May God bless you 🙏 ❤️ ✨️
Mine gets hot too. For the beds I hand water I fill up three mineral tubs that I have to catch rain water. When we're not getting rain I fill with hose and let temperature adjust. My well water is really cold and I noticed my peppers didn't like it so by putting it in tubs the next day it's warmed up. They're in the shade so they don't get hot but water not cold either. I figured this out last year.
Thank you so much❣️
Congratulations to Linda ❤ What a wonderful thing to do. Your beds are gorgeous. God bless you guy's
Those plants look beautiful great job.
Congrats Linda.
I love seeing the progress of your garden. Here in Iowa our soil is 39 Corn just going into the fields. ❤
Your plants looks beautiful.
Love watching y'all 🎉
Wow, everything is beautiful!
Your plants look beautiful. God bless and Much love 💖✝️
Thyme is also great to drink in a tea, during a cold night or if you need to sweat out a cold. I mixed lemon Thyme and lemon grass into hot water and let it steep for 10 minutes. It tasted awesome and I kicked that cold faster than I ever have.
Garden boxes looking good
I love watching the garden progress. I have a couple of raised bad that im just itching to get into. I live in Minn. so that means I have to wait.
So sweet! Congrats, Linda!
This has been a fun video! Always look forward to them!
Oh man, we learned this lesson as well living in the desert of Arizona and having 300 feet of hose out on the ground that is coming from a well. We have to let the water run for about 5-8 minutes in the summer time to cool off for watering the animals and the garden. Do not like to waste the water but dont have the funds to have the piping buried to run the water.
Congratulations Linda! Everything there is looking so good, we are always alittle behind y'all, so I am excited to watch mine grow now
Congratulations Linda! What a wonderful gift! ❤
Beautiful garden beds!
Congratulations, Ms. Linda! I have noticed the water myself. Mine was super cold a few weeks ago as I was watering the high tunnel around the end of March. My peas and cabbage loved it, but the tomatoes did not.
I love watching y'all !!! Thanks for all you do !!!!
Congratulations Linda! Those plants are growing so well in the Vego beds!
God is good , beautiful garden. We have tomatoes , squash, zucchini, and are potatoes and peppers and onions, collards, carrots are coming on 😊❤
Congratulations Linda!! Your high tunnel is looking really good!
Congratulations Linda!
Your plants are growing beautifully!
I'm surprised as hot as it is down there that you had not noticed hot hose water before. I learned that lesson as a little girl trying to drink out of the hose in the yard
Congrats 👏 🎉Miss Linda on your Vego bed. So exciting.
Been a busy few day's, working on the irrigation system .... still.
Got a pasture mowed to feed critters, got done with half of it, need to get back to tilling the garden's up. They Chem trailed the crap out of us today. Beautiful blue skies, turned cloudy & almost rain cloud's.
Love the video. Congratulations, Linda.
Everything is looking so good. Tfs❤
Water temp... great idea! Thank you!
Congratulations Linda!🎉🎉🎉
It's 49 right now but wind chill is 36. Tomorrow it should be 80 and I'm in Wisconsin. We get hot water in the hose too. Happens all over.
