A feast for the eyes! This house was.impresive;.enormous rooms,.high.ceilings, and the old world grandeur. The design of each room complimented and balanced beautiful masterpiece furniture with select objects and artwork.
An impressive collection of French period Louis IV and Louis IVI furniture. Every piece was displayed with perfect elegance.. They were very good examples of the styles you were highlighting. The reproduction pieces you created in your workshop blended smoothly with the classic antiques. They were just as beautiful and exquisite.
I was especially pleased that you explained the butterfly wing veneer pattern on the armoire. I recently purchased.a cherry wood cocktail table with the same pattern and I was curious about that particular pattern. It's so striking!
The lesson was presented very well. You walked us through an easy to follow and interesting class. Learning the different styles and vocabulary was intriguing. You shared every detail, carefully describing the antiques in the beautiful language of French. I enjoyed hearing the proper pronunciation of the words; armolo, bergere, and aubusson.
I especially appreciate your calm and unrushed voice. You are so very graceful. Thank you for this delightful tour and lecture. I always feel relaxed, peaceful, and uplifted after watching your shows.
Would you please be so kind to make a video on how to recognize the different types of wood used in fine furniture, and the qualities of each?

Beautiful things, and yet the lack of mouldings and architectural details on the walls make the place look like a wearhouse or a showroom. I always heard that a wonderful period room with good architectural features looks great even empty, but a very plain room doesn't look amazing no matter how much furniture you put in it.

Very good observation; the architecture should match as much as possible the kind of furniture that decorates the house. People who have so much money could very well afford a team of top craftsmen who would recreate French 18th century plaster work.
