He is a much better character than in 8th or 9th no doubt. But in this match he shines because he has been well played and went against the right enemy models.
Well done on painting up 2000 pts of Blood Angels Bard! They look glorious. I love the care taken in choosing all the dynamic poses and thematic BA ornamentation, the blade guard being my favourite!

The liberator assault force is a reference to Dante since he’s in charge of liberating the lost worlds in the imperium nihilus but I agree I like sons of sanguinius a bit better

Cool to watch the new stuff. Shame we didn’t see any dreadnoughts do anything. The terminators were in a perfect position to heroic intervene , fight first and save death company.
Dude, it was horrible. Terminators, bikes, etc turning into DC, vehicles and devastators unable to shoot due to the red thirst, units moving forwards just to get shooted for being in middle of nowhere. It may be funny sometimes but it could made u feel very miserable when the army completely ran out control
That daemon prince is wonderfully painted! By the blood (Liberator Assault Group) are we made strong, lest we forget the fallen ones (all our unique dreadnoughts and our characters)!
Could not find a duplicate comment, and it did not impact the game as the character died anyways, but at 50:40 the daemon prince with wings charged and rolled 4 dice. The dice rolled are based on the daemon princes remaining wounds. So a full wound DP would roll 10 dice for mortals on the charge.
What a fun Slapsgiving! Regarding Havoc Champions and Powe rFists: Yes, they can use them. Not sure if there is one in the box, but half of the weapons Havocs can use are not in the kit, so there's that. :P
Wait, at 30:40 why does Mephiston have to fight first because he has the fights first ability? Every charging unit gets fights first, so you can still choose which unit that charged to activate before Mephiston. Other than that, superb battle report so far! As a veteran Blood Angels player, I'm super excited about the next fight phase with all these charges that made it in!
Glad to see the Sons of Sanguinius get their teeth into some traitors! As for Mephiston's glow up - in the novels he recently became what is essentially a dark mirror of the Sanguinor. He is possessed by or became the embodiment of the dark half of Sanguinius which amped his already formidable powers to new heights! In my eyes, at least, his powerful new rules highlight his new, more powerful status in the lore. Hope this helps!
Played BA today as the BL. It was fine until they charged me and suddenly all my guys were very very dead. BA should be really happy they seem super strong
When you were in the combat with the chaplin at the end beard your Lethal squad benefits should have affected your spear attack. So, you should have done a suto-wound and then d3 more hits that then roll to wound.
Bard for your paint job on the BAs was it as simple as a black primer then lots of judicious dry brushing or did you crack out an airbrush? Either way great result.
Looks a bit like the slap chop method to my eyes, so I'd guess it's black primer, dark through to light grey drybrush (getting more selective as you go) then red contrast. Very quick, very effective.
It’s a lot of dry brushing reds in a gradient! Starting from black and then working up with the reds and then highlighting at the end… might have to put a recipe together! 😊

Jesus's Mephiston is a monster, he pretty much solo'd that entire flank.
