    I totaly agree with Bernstein. Although there have been great composers on the 20th century, Stravinsky was the greatest of all.

    NOTE how the adults are all running out of the hall at first chance. They' re far worse than the kids. What an example to show them. This was in 1969 too. Right at the height of the Vietnam slaughter. The world was going mad then, and still is.

    Organbol, you have done nothing on this board but criticize everything about this production. Is that why you came here? Merely to tear down this production? I also would rather listen to Gershwin, but I would never deny that Stravinsky WAS the greatest composer of the twentieth century. His "Rite of Spring" is one of the greatest and most important pieces in the history of music.

    What a dumb thing to say "Stravinsky was the greatest master our century has produced." How shockingly inane. What about Messiaen? What about Bartok? What about Gershwin? What about Ravel? What about Prokofiev? Such utter nonsense. LB was so full of hot air half the time. That's a fact.
