Results day can be quite the stress, but I accidentally managed to sleep through the alarm which I think helped me avoid the most stressful part of the day!

Congrats but for the subjects I'm taking bio chem and maths the grade boundaries are between 64-80%for an A* so can I lose a few marks in each exam????
Definitely! Normally each exam has different boundaries, and then the grades combine together, so as long as your averaging A*s and high As across exams, you will be fine :)
I'm doing English Language too and I don't understand the marking. I know 20% coursework is 100 marks so the two papers are 40% 200 marks to make the overall 500 but I just don't understand because each paper is out of 100 isn't it??
Honestly I just wouldn’t worry about that - calculating UMS points is beyond my capabilities haha!
Just try your best in the exams and then you can’t do any more...

Can I ask how you revised for media? Are you taking the Eduqas spec? Because I took it thinking it would be alright, but I actually have no idea how to revise for it because I find it very subjective. The teaching at my school has been all over the place as well because we’re on a new spec the general consensus is no one has a clue what’s going on, we have no model essays or accurate past papers to go by. It’s actually stressing me out and I’ve just put it on a massive back burner.
I actually took the WJEC spec on the old exam version so am not sure how much help I’ll be...
However I basically just analysed each of my texts in great details at college and at home then transferred and condensed everything onto mind maps and learnt everything that way... sorry if that’s not much help!

The revision app forest is a LIFESAVER! It stops you being able to procrastinate on your phone, but also gives you a sense of success when you grow a tree!

haha I was talking quietly so I didn't wake everyone up! Adjusting the volume would have just meant very loud white noise! I got A*AA. I show the results on camera later in the video :)

I have no idea what any of these abbreviations are 😂 i live in Ireland and we have a different system for uni. And there are different exam boards?
Ah no! Which abbreviations do you mean? I'll try and translate if I know which ones you haven't heard of haha! There are different exam boards for A-Levels yes. I was on WJEC (a welsh board) and AQA (the main board for most subjects) 👌

Yeah I'm happy to help! My exam board was AQA and I was on the AS/A2 course though... are you on the linear? I'm not sure how much help I'd be if the courses are different, but if you still think my advice could be helpful let me know! I really struggled with politics too and managed to come out with an A* (aqa) somehow, definitely something that comes with time, keep at it xx

Luke Laing use the word represents a billion times, try and use as many different language levels as you can, but focus on the higher ones (clauses, phrases etc). Only highlight meanings. You can highlight the features after (i.e don’t just talk about a verb phrase because you know it’s a verb phrase, talk about an interesting sentence with meaning that happens to be a verb phrase - you get me?)
