    I know people keep on saying that it’s “excuse” but they have to accept that the DDoS attack has caused serious consequences on the players.
    Although all teams must have been affected but T1 seemed to be heavily targeted.
    I can know for a fact what Becker stated is real, of how it has affected not only the players but the streamers because:
    1. I have been watching Untara’s streams regularly and he has started to stream from home
    2. Recently Rekkles has also talked about the DDoS attacks in T1.
    Hope Riot takes this issue seriously.

      It's a valid excuse though. I play guitar and bass. If I haven't played in 2-3 weeks, I feel off. I need a few songs sometimes to recalibrate myself. Mind you I'm not even playing at the highest level, I'm an average to advanced player. .I skateboard on some days, when I take a break for a long time, I have to again recalibrate myself. Let's take team sports for example. Take an NBA team, a football team, heading to playoffs and make them not practice for 3 weeks against a team that is fully prepared. See what happens. It's important that people know that people at the top of their craft are only competing with very small, minute differences, each practice and planning they do gives them an edge. When you take that away from them, they will crumble. People who don't do anything that requires skill wouldn't understand.

    People think it's easy to keep up when you've stopped practicing for weeks. If your job requires continuous training, you will hardly be able to keep up when you are not prepared and the other is. For example, in my job I need to be up to date with new instructions and rules, since it requires my total memory; If I am on vacation for a period of 2-3 weeks, when the entry date arrives, I have to take exams and intermediate training again. It is clear that we cannot speak lightly of professionals. If they are not training, they lose their way.
    Of course, the haters take advantage of the situation to speak ill of T1 and twist its words. Even we (fans) know that rival teams, in this case HLE, are strong. We would just like our team to also train properly. It's RIOT's fault and his security. Let's not blame the players.

    • @AMightyStorm
      @AMightyStorm Před měsícem +5

      The attacker is getting the information they need through the LoL client or the server itself. It is tied to the accounts. So when a specific account they want to target, let’s say Faker’s for example, logs into the game and queues up, the attacker is able to gain information like IP and whatnot and then send the attack which renders the game unplayable for Faker. This is why Becker said they had to give the players alternate accounts so they could continue to play, but the issue is that these new replacement accounts are low MMR / not in challenger and therefore are not providing the players a sufficient practice environment.

      Guys the problem with t1 was also the drafts. Ok I can see lack of practise cuz of ddos but what was these drafts. Second game vs hle draft was unplayable and decisions like twisted fate never side lane were making the situation worse.

    • @AMightyStorm
      @AMightyStorm Před měsícem

      @@dimitrisdls5025 I agree. The drafts have been dogshit and I think it actually is a combination of things. Part of it is they haven't been able to properly practice or scrim which leads to a lack of knowledge as to what to play into what, what they're going to perform best on, what builds to use, etc. But even with this I feel a sort of disconnect happened between what they were really good at previously and what they're doing right now. Their ability to draft last year was way better than it is right now. I don't really understand a lot of the draft choices and the only thing that has changed from their Worlds 2023 setup to now is the return of Kkoma. Something is going on behind the scenes that's causing these crazy drafts and I think management needs to get their shit together because these drafts don't even play into what the players are capable of or in some cases don't even reflect the meta, it's almost like they're constantly experimenting with things they have never even tested because someone decided it sounded good on paper. But a lot of those decisions are just so bad and many times I wondered why even bother having these players play these random champs when they have the option of playing champs they're proven to be extremely impactful on.

    I m here after the T1 vs DK match, and I have to say this DDOS thing, as much as it will get me backlash, sounds like just a downright excuse. They 3-0ed the team that went 5 games against GenG, and they never mentioned the DDOS thing again. I know it is just ONE of the many factors that affected their HLE match, but the fact that Faker pointed it out and attributed it to being an 'unfair' situation, when they just 3-0ed DplusKia, just discredits what he said in the first place. They just got outplayed by HLE on that day, these things can happen, maybe they were tired, their spells were missing, their shotcalling was off. But this DDOS definitely is not the major factor that attributed to their loss

    @AMightyStorm Před měsícem +1

    If the draft decisions stop being so pepega they might be able to make it through loser's bracket even without the practice the other teams are getting. But if drafts keep being so dumb then it's hopeless. Not sure what the hell is going on with the drafts but this is not the same T1 with god tier drafting last year. The only thing that has realistically changed since then is Kkoma came back so I can understand why there's a subset of the T1 fanbase that are blaming him exclusively. But I'm sure it's more complex than that. Whatever the problem is, it needs to be rectified, or T1 will just have to not attend MSI this year. If these guys get a proper draft going then they actually stand a chance of qualifying. A lack of practice in recent months can't trump years of knowledge and skill if they do their best. But a bad draft is just unplayable.
