Ever since the Legend of Mata Nui patch v0.007 release trailer came out and used this song I knew I wanted to make a music video for it. I didn't want to use too many effects as I find they can be a bit distracting sometimes. I just wanted to make a video where the visuals matched the beats of the song- I ended up hiding a lot of references and easter eggs within the many transitions; I hope you can find 'em all :D
Also I used Premiere Pro CC 2017 to edit this video and the majority of the clips I used were from Biomediaproject for anyone curious.
Next video in 2026! :P

The years 2001-2010 truly were the BIONICLE Age.
Remember those classic BioTube AMVs? This is like those, but SOOOO much better. The editing on this is great, and as others have pointed up, matching up clips with lyrics was top notch. Even beyond that though, you matched the cutaways to the beat, which is always great to see. Easy 10/10, best way to reboot a channel 🔥🔥🔥
I do remember those! I’d actually watched a bunch of ‘em while making this for inspiration, and to see if anyone did anything interesting. The only one I found that did something cool was this ‘It’s my life’ one where at 34 seconds the bass drum beats match up with Lewa Phantoka firing his midak blaster: bit.ly/2tUsmkg
Thanks mang, ye I really wanted to match most of the beats. I was surprised by how well they fit with the “””narrative””” I was constructing, where it starts off with a ’calm before the storm’ followed by villains attacking, then when the lyrics start up, the heroes descend.
I wanted it to follow a chronological pattern to signify this age of Bionicle :P
If I ever met anyone new to Bionicle, I would definitely play this for them. Deserves more views, to be honest.
Edit: 1:26 and 1:55 are pretty badass moments.

Haha yeah I had a lot of fun making those sequences. One of my favourites is at 1:44 with the lyric 'Welcome to the Bionicle Age', where there's a sound that syncs up with Tahu Mistika flying and the fuse on Hakkan's canister. Which then blows upwards opening the door for the Mahri.
Niiiice! A proper tribute! There so many nice music/visual match-ups and fun references (Brutaka being matched with "dimension" was particularly clever). A great (though almost certainly unintentional) birthday gift my friend!

Wasn't always a big fan of this piece, but I thought this was edited very well! You managed to fit in clips from every year of Bionicle and that's something I really like!
Thanks yeah I wanted to try and fit all of the various years, the only one I wasn’t able to fit in there were the Stars- mainly because I couldn’t find a good spot to use them. I appreciate the fact you watched it despite not being a huge fan of the song! :D

I editing is on-point, and you couldn't have picked a better song! Not only is it actually a Bionicle song, but the 90s-inspired Industrial Rock perfectly captures the tone of Bionicle as well.

Glad you liked it! Yeah I thought this song's vibe would've gelled really well with all of Bionicle. It's kind've spooky how well it fits considering it was planned to be released in '01.

Did you show Brutaka when it said "another dimension" on purpose since he wears the Mask of Dimensional Gates? Also, the footage at 1:50, where the heck is that from?!
Yes I made very deliberate choices for all of the clips used. There are many references people still haven't picked up on; like how Zaktan’s clip of him swinging his arms at a fly is followed up by Gorast (the fly), or what that whole sequence involving Jaller is about. I implore everyone to connect the dots :D
If you’re referring to that little alien looking thing carrying an arm piece, then that’s from Toa Whenua’s character clip from 2004.

I now realize you were probably referring to the scene with Vakama and Jaller besides the fire. That was from a 2002 German Bionicle VHS tape dubbed "Bionicle: The Legend Lives". I got a large majority of clips from biomediaproject. czcams.com/video/2QQJQseEXI4/video.html
Look like that robotic voice in the original mnog theme says " BIONICLE AGE " and that sound was extracted from this unreleased song
Oh cool, I didn't know that sample was in the MNOG theme too- Paul Hardcastle did all the music for the Power Pack. He actually used it in one of his songs called "Obey the Force" too.
