Thanks for the review. I knew it would not be for you because you are used to your small footprint with the Prime go. I use my prime4 for dance events and my prime for for pool parties, happy hours, events that will be mostly background. It's the best for that in my case so i do not have to bring the as you said heavy prime 4, and more heavy in the flight case! Also the prime4 can control the laptop using VDJ as well.

If you want to stay with the engine ecosystem the prime 4 plus is good, if you want to just experiment for a cheaper price the numark standalone deck.

The price has to be considered in lieu of a laptop and a subscription for DJ software. You don't need either on the Prime 4+.

Rane one was my first controller. Didn't like it that much so I went with the pioneer ddj 800. I love it and Rekordbox! I want to switch to Denon prime 4+ though. It looks so good Plus I'm getting tired always using my computer screen! I just wish Denon made it a little bit smaller

@@PhearNoneGearGadgets 🙏🙏🙏 sounds good 💯 with a touch screen that lifts up just like the prime 4 👍👍 but also gives us the option to use engine DJ as well. Plus have those touch effects on screen when you use your finger to make those lines

I really wanted to buy this but the effects being at the top back of controller, is a deal breaker. Just seems too far away and awkward to use, as apposed to the sc live 4 with regular layout.
Do you find it difficult or awkward to reach and use the effects?

I t might have been slightly ackward at first, but within a week I was used to it. That might be because I use a test different decks in performance situation however. thanks for watching.

Another con is the Serato to standalone transition. Dead air will happen 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. You can’t do Serato and stand alone at the same time like the opus quad, but the opus doesn’t have stems in standalone though…

I would probably choose Serato or Standalone in the beginning, planning to use one or the other all night. The dead air would only happen for me if the computer went down and I use the standalone as a backup. Thanks for the feedback as usual.

@@PhearNoneGearGadgets let’s say I wanted to DJ with you, it’s not possible if I bring my laptop 💻. There will be dead air from standalone to computer mode sadly

@@bboymac84yeah the dead air is what messes this unit up . I talked to denon devs about it hopefully they change . The XDJ XZ also allows easy transition from standalone to serato or rekordbox

I love the prime4 very much but i ended up going with Xdj XZ just coz of that .

So you can not play a track from usb drive on deck A and a track from serato on deck B . And if you want to switch from usb drive to computer mode it stops the music till restarts :) . CRAP
