A lot of people hate Bloober Team because of their poor viewpoint on mental health, cliche narratives and copycat themes. In this video I collaborated with ‪@MertKayKay‬ to speak about them, and whether they could deliver on a huge remake project like Silent Hill 2 originally by Konami.

@@sumstuff6956 Bloober will want to treat two mentally unstable people into thinking their only way of being redeemed is dying, like in the shit game the medium. Bloober wants us to trust them less than we already do, Bloober thinks like this: Shitty products = attention = hate = money = everyone is happy :)

Really can't agree about The Medium, because while its not perfect, it gives tons of nuance to the story's little details and themes, but it did take me a few playthroughs to really wrap my head around it. It doesn't paint the characters as simply good or bad, just tries to give background of what contributed to that person's psyche and the trauma they endured and later caused to others. Silent Hill 2 is overrated, even though I do like the game, it's always been inferior to the first SH game to me and vastly blown out of proportion by all its fans. I'll play the remake but I can't particularly say I'm too excited for it, and my lack of excitement isn't because of Bloober, it just doesn't feel like it needs a remake and probably won't benefit all much from updated visuals, since they've incessantly said they won't really be changing much of anything for the remake.

I would say Silent Hill 1 and 3 are way better than 2 in my honest opinion and agree its overrated but I've always loved 4 personally. Bloober just seem to hit and miss with a lot of it but if you see something we didn't, totally get it man if you enjoy it. I don't believe 2 needs a remake at all, but happily will take it if they won't do the first.

Not familiar with Bloober games at all, mostly ps player. I can only judge by the trailer, which looks visually impressive. The story is already there and I am sure they will improve a lot of the original game by expanding the map and changing the puzzles around to keep it fresh, just like RE2 remake. Dont be surprised if PH is turned into a stalker character too like Mr X. Is that a knife I hear?

I wouldn't be shocked of PH is vastly expanded to stalk, that's a valid point of change. And yes it's visually very impressive. I'm quite excited personally just praying they don't mess it up 🙏
