Ive never told my friends when my birthday is, of course I invited them over when we were little but I doubt they’d remember the exact day and I don’t expect them to. Its a little saddening to think that birthdays to me are now just another day out of 365, no gifts, no parties, just me living my life like I would any other day.
But in a way its taught me many lessons. I don’t rely on others to make me happy, I make myself happy. I don’t expect gifts, which means I can give without expecting something in return, and I believe that’s an important human quality. It’s independency, in my opinion.
i tell my friends my bday but just forget it, my parents never let me do bday parties but ur right, if ur always depending on someone when that person is gone or cant help u in a particular situation u need to do it by urself, its better not to expect stuff coz u'll just end up being dissapointed for a dumb reason
