The Rick Dangerous games never got boring :) I loved the graphics in this part even though they were not spectacular. It has just the right combination of steel beams, valves and tubes with bubbling liquid.
If you compare the two Rick Dangerous games, it becomes quite clear that game design has improved and the team got more experienced. The first level uses actually some clever ways of level design to teach the player the basic mechanisms, similar to the Mega Man games.
I remember there was a .com file unlike mostly .exe files that used to be executables. My father showed me how to run it under MS-DOS and Norton Commander as well. We had a EGA 14” monitor and colors for this game were shifted somehow, so that this one really looks colorful. And the sound...We had only PC Speaker and this sound is so way out if this world))
totally!! im gona make musical remixeso ut ofi t and run marathons to old games' sounds.. i listen to amiga lotus 3 ultiamte challenge all the time PC speaker version, i listen to SNES contra with the shotoing and the cool sounds
@@Astijuj I get why he prefers it. Same thing with Far Cry Primal because it explores something almost no one done. Same with first Rick. Everything was sci-fi games back then so first Rick was a nice departure.
Huh, the ending is different than the one I remember - and it's not just my mind playing tricks on me, there are videos of that other ending on CZcams as well which include a bossfight and slightly longer outro. I'm wondering if this is a different version of the game. But I also recall that the ending differed somehow depending on whether you played the whole game in one session or started from a later level.
Yes, finishing all levels in 1 sitting got you an extra level. I got to it, but I don't think I ever finished that last one, because you had to start all the way over once you lost all your lives.
rick dangerous 2 was easier then the first imo. Also does the bombs reminds you people of the "grenades" from the flash backs of Kyle reese in terminator? :O
I did finfsh both the 1st and 2nd RD without infinite lives... didn't finish Ghost's 'n Goblins though... also, Rainbow Islands, The Great Gianna Sisters, Nebulous... ... good days...
i keep forgetting which games ih ave played on PC and which on a joystick xd.. i have a 27+ yearo ld pc somewhere aroudn the house, i think i playd this one on the PC if it was available around 1993-2004 for PC

Rick Dangerous games oozed quality, everything from graphics to movement to sound fx. Pity I found 'em so hard.
