Beautiful truck but what really bother me is them not adding the Platinum/Silver on the tail gate like they have on previous models. That’s like an iconic ford platinum symbol and what makes it stand out from every other ford truck. Besides that she’s a beauty !

Facts. Trucks are for work. They are for hauling tools/materials, and for pulling trailers. Who would wanna spend 80k on a luxury truck? Just buy a Mercedes.
Its an SUV with less metal. For 90K theres better vehicles

I have the 2021 Lariat, just love the entire truck. 3.5 pulls anything with ease.
My dad passed recently and I got some money, I’m in the process of ordering this truck, waiting for the new gate to become available.

I bought a Denali Ultimate 2024 and I think it looks better than this truck Ford Platinum! But i saw a review of the Ram Tungsten lately, and I need too admit that ram has the win in my opinion. I still love my gmc.
I friggen love the grill on that 2024. If y'all are ever going to do a video on changing one on a 2021 I'd definitely volunteer my truck for the upgrade if it doesn't cost too much 😏
I just got back from the dealership. They want almost $3000 to replace a plastic oil pan and plastic valve covers. I think it’s safe to say I will not be buying another Ford. Most likely a Toyota.

I can't believe the Denali still doesn't have a panoramic moonroof. The Ford has had one for 10 years now.

@mike wrong people can get a platinum without powerboost, 3.5 ecoboost is available. Ram has as much rear seat room and reclining seats.

Okay but hear me out. A supercrew (cab and a half) 8 foot bed 5.0 coyote tow package and 4X4. With a manual transmission would be awesome
Supercrew is a 4 door. Extended cabs are door and a half. I’ve seen a few people buy an XL extended cab (for the 5.0) and replace the entire interior with a king ranch interior. Do that but with platinum interior and let me know what it looks like!!
I think the ram fit and finish is more luxurious
Oh One more thing. That badge on the arm rest it is now imprinted on every owner in Arizona and CA and other hot weather states. Meaning when the truck is hot and you lay your hand on it it will give you a permanent Platinum Badge on your hand since its metal and very hot when the truck stays in the son for a few hours. Nice touch but not nice to the touch\. Other than that its a cool truck. great review. Thank you.

Pretty nice truck. For a Ford. While I am primarily a Ford person, I just can't overlook the Ram Tungsten with its buttload of leather, cool passenger screen, more powerful engine, softer ride, and "lotsa ways to adjust 'em" seats. But I will say I like the looks of this truck and the Ford vanilla-style exterior design wears chrome very nicely.

the Platinum has been on my shortlist for a while. I keep waiting for pricing and supply chain to normalize. I just wish MPG was a bit better

My husband went to look at this and surprisingly, he didn’t love it. He ended up looking at a Lincoln Navigator L Black Label instead, which is considerably more expensive. It looks like he’s doing one of those instead.

Never been a Chrysler guy. Worked in a collision shop for a Chrysler Dealer after 20 years at a Ford dealership.
Chrysler doesn’t have the same quality warranty like Ford.
Plus the new hurricane engines might be amazing but its to early to tell.
Ok just for clarification that’s a Platinum Plus not a regular Platinum. There’s a big difference. That’s the Limited just renamed Platinum Plus. That Platinum badge on the front only comes on the Platinum Plus. It’s no on the regular Platinum.

Still rocking a whip antenna instead of sharkfin and buttons on the door handles instead of touch sensors, but yeah "Platinum"....
They do have touch sensors on the door handles. They are located on the left side of the handle. Just touch it and you can lock and unlock your doors. The keypad on the door is awesome if you dont have your key. Just put in your pin and it unlocks. It also has a proximity key so it unlocks and drops the running boards and light come on outside the truck. The antenna thing doesnt bother me. I took mine off my 2021 limited and put a differnent one on. Took 2 minutes.
Antenna let’s you know if you can’t make a height. Useful in low garages.
Someone figure something out for the tailgate applique. Its incomplete without it.

I'm 32 and this is my type of truck. 100% luxury with significant capability. Currently have a TRX and intend to keep it indefinitely as a collectable. I really like the Ford type trucks as they are handsome, but some of the interior materials are sh*t unless its a Platinum. I like the platinum. I'll give it a few more years to see where they get before buying another truck. TRX is staying.
Flat? Don’t think so. The Citroen we had in the mid ‘60’s the front seats went back and were flush with the backseats. Now that’s flat.

Different strokes. If they still offered the platinum with the Coyote option, you could put a blower on it to make over 1000 on a factory sealed motor, long travel kit and a 4 link then you'd absolutely dunk on Raptors and TRX's on and off the road with a baller interior.

Not a fan of the new tailgate but now you don't have to commit to the Limited for diamond stitched seats, and you're not stuck with that atrocious Admiral blue/white combo. Sucks to see they took out the Coyote as an option for the Platinum'
Interior is also way more desirable, coming from a Raptor owner and enthusiast.

I think he got this wrong, the Platinum comes standard with the 3.5, not the Powerboost. So you can either get the normal 3.5 ecoboost or the Powerboost. Sad no v8 in the platinum, I have the 5.0 in my 2023 f-150 and love it. 5.0 all the way!

If this is the top f150 and no more limited then they should of had the platinum silver badge on the tailgate. That's a huge miss. Other then that it's a great truck. In my opinion though they need to have the horsepower in the mid to low 500s.
