CAN MARKO STAMENIC MAKE IT AT NOTTINGHAM FOREST AND END THE OLYMPIACOS TRANSFER CURSE?

  • Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos have exchanged a series of players since Evangelos Marinakis took over the club in 2017. Most of the transfers have failed, although there has been moderate success in the cases of Cafu and Omar Richards, while the sale of Joao Carvalho will have helped with the books.
Most recently, Forest have signed Marko Stamenic from Red Star Belgrade and promptly loaned him to the giants of Greek football for a season. Plenty of Reds fans are sceptical the New Zealand international will ever play for Forest so we spoke to sports radio host Jason Pine of Sky Sport in Stamenic's homeland to find out more about the 22-year-old. We also learn more about Chris Wood and the rise of football in New Zealand. #nffc

Another great interview Matt. Thanks. Interestingly Olympiakos announcement on their website about the player does not mention Forest at all!

Good interview Matt many thanks. Bit of a tangent but does anyone know the score with Omar Richards? Is he back at Forest?

Very interesting interview, sounds like Marco is a good prospect. I’ll support the Kiwis over the wallabies any day of the week 😂

Went to South Africa to watch the All Whites. Nelson was immense. Quiz question…the only unbeaten team at that World Cup was New Zealand!

No another under the table olympiacos deal .The lad was heading to Coventry before we highjacked the deal so he wasn't exactly a in demand prem player anyway and he's 22 now a year's loan will be 23 by the time the loan deal ends I guarantee we will never see him in a forest shirt he'll just become another Bowler or Hwang Ui-jo signing complete waist of time fed up of olympiacos using forest as a feeder club when are we going to get a half decent player sent the other way
