City had nothing to do with Arsenal losing to Fulham TWICE (one of those games Fulham were down to 10 men even). They had nothing to do with Arsenal losing at their home ground to Villa either.
City got a fairly average-high title winning points. That's not indicative of teams rolling over for them when Chelsea, United teams have got those points to win the league in the past. Otherwise you could say every one of those teams that won the title with those points total had teams roll over for them.
Saying City only won because of teams rolling over and not Arsenal bottling games they should've done better in, is a cheap cop out excuse

    - Too many points dropped in December cost Gunners dear.
    - Zinchenko was an easy target at LB, Calafiori broughti in to resolve that issue.

Don’t get me wrong Arsenal are becoming a very good side and are only getting better and will be there or thereabouts again. But City wasn’t consistent up until after Xmas where they go on their normal run of grinding out results, and if Arsenal hadn’t lost to Villa would have won it. They had a great chance last season to win it against a city side that didn’t play great.
Think the league will be a lot harder this season with 3-4 clubs pushing for the title.

Well the gap has considerably & consistently narrowed over the last 3 seasons, going from finishing 8th, then 5pts behind CITY, then 2 pts.
Arteta has certaintly assembled a squad to win it this season, but that means toppling Manchine City.
They didn't have KDB for half the season, Harlaand missed 1/3 and they still won it, which is what dominant champions do, but we cannot lose 5 games agian and hope to win the title.
I still think we need a hitman, although Havertz did really well when moved up front, whose to say he'll do that for the whole season.
Nketiah is about to leave, Jesus will never be a 20-25 PL striker, so sell them both and put the money to some one who will be.
    Get Gykores!
We have a very good GK, not great or elite, awesome defence even before Califiori and now haveTimber back too.
Get Merina to link up again with Odegaard, just one spot needed to take care of, a No9.

Arsenal are steadily making progress and improving their squad while City are going backwards.
DeBruyne and Bernardo Silva are past their best.
Also Ederson and DeBruyne are at a cross road and want to secure their financial future by moving to the Saudi Pro League.
Also Guardiola is closer to the end than the beginning. What does that mean with future signings?
If Arsenal do not win the Premier League and get through to the semi finals of the Champions League, I will laugh, ironically.
With their current momentum, the only team I see stopping Arsenal in the Champions League are Real Madrid.
Arsenal are getting stronger while City are getting weaker and there will be questions over whether Salah is past his best.
I am no Arsenal fan but it's their's to lose

    @thearsenalmisfit2414 Před měsícem

Actually, Arsenal are not perfectly set up to win the title, they have a good chance, but it has weaknesses., goal keeping is the biggest weakness. Raya may be good with the ball at his feet, but he is a mistake machine. He made far to many mistakes that cost us far to many goals against. At least 7 of the 26 goals he conceeded last season , that's way too many , that's 25% of the goals conceeded were his fault.
For mee his ball playing skills do not offset that, and 2 of his mistakes against Chelsea and Spurs cost us 2 wins , 4 points, and the title. People point to the Villa, Fulham, and West Ham games asto why we didn't win the title. We were never in a position to win those games, but against Chelsea and Spurs, we were. Raya is not good enough without a perfect defense in front of him. That golden glove award he got was because of the defensive master class that the rest of the team put on.
The manager is also a liability with his poor game management. He still, after 5 years, is reluctant to use his bench and rest players like Saka who will break down if he is not handled better. He is also too stubborn when things are going badly. He is to slow in changing things up and he more often than not just changes player like for like. Rarely does he change the formation to give the opposing manager something to think about.
We also have a midfield problem that has not been addressed. Partey can not be reliable enough to play more than half a season because of injuries. If he gets injured, Jorginho is not capable of playing so many games anymore due to his age. Rice filled in well, but his passing is not progressive enough, and we have problems getting the ball to Odegard from the back line when he played the 6 position.
There is still time to get the #6 we need, but we are stuck with Raya now as #1 keeper. As for Arteta himself , it's up to him to show he can grow as a manager but his current short comings have been on display for his whole time at Arsenal with no signs of any improvement in his game management.
