1970's California was a very strange, exhilarating time to be alive. Every single night, somewhere in the Hills or the Valley, you could find parties and people that defied explanation and sanity straight out of a David Lynch film. It was glorious, it was tragic, it was enough to melt your mind, and it will never happen again. I miss it dearly.

The 1960s...and especially, the 70s and 80s were filled with timeless music. The 90s were great too but the music took quite a dark turn. Now, the Eagles are my favorite band so I can tell you straight up you can't go wrong with these dudes. All their stuff is great. Especially songs like: Take It To The Limit, Take It Easy, I Can't Tell You Why, Witchy Woman, and One Of These Nights. Of course, bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin were big too. However, if you want something truly different, checkout Granicus. They were a VERY little known band from the 70s with quite a bombastic sound. It's a shame they never really made it big, per se. Anyway, the songs to listen to by them are Paradise and Prayer. Excellent tunes!

I caught one radio station in the mountains that would come in even slightly good. Made it through the song as the station faded away. I agree on take it to the limit. My favorite song of theirs!. But you have to find the one that Randy Meisner did at this same concert in 1977. It’s very, very hard, obviously I have found, to find that one to react to. Don Henley is notoriously stingy about letting people react to Eagles music. But even if you can’t find one to react to, you HAVE to listen to it, and then in one of your Eagles reactions, maybe, say how great it is. There’s no doubt in my mind you will think it is. Because I love Randy Meisner so much, I think it’s the best performance ever recorded but even if you don’t know who he is, I think you will have to admit he did outstanding, outstanding, outstanding on this performance. Not long after this, Glenn Frey and him got into a fight because he didn’t want to get out there, thinking he couldn’t hit the very high notes of this song every night. He was very shy, and didn’t like to be the center of attention and that song was the only one that he was lead. One night he had been sick and didn’t wanna go back for the encore of that song because he thought he could not hit the high notes. Frey physically got in his face, and after that, it was only a matter of time before Randy left. He was the most humble& kind of anybody in the Eagles group (even they say). I will say, I don’t like Henley and Frey because they’re so greedy and egomaniacs, but without them, we would not have the Eagles.

They played all their hits and even a couple of Joe Walsh's hits as well. They played 6 encores, because the audience wouldn't stop cheering, my ears were ringing for three days after, I will never forget, it was wild!

This is my favorite group. I’ve seen them twice and I hope to see them one more time before they stop touring in 2 years. I saw the Hotel California tour 3 years ago. I was born 4 years after Hotel California and it was so cool to hear my favorite Eagles album in concert.
Don Henley (the drummer) is an amazing drummer. He and the late Glenn Frey (he’s the one playing the acoustic guitar) have written so many great songs together.

The Eagles are notorious for protecting their copyrights on CZcams. Congrats for finding a way to get this song in.

You should listen to "Take it to the Limit" from this same show in 1977 at the Capitol Center in DC. Randy Meisners voice will blow you away. I'd also recommend "Severn Bridges Road" if you want to hear flawless harmonies.

Every single member of the band is a lead vocalist in their own right, and have their own successful careers alongside The Eagles.

This pure Rock magic--proof that Rock can be totally beautiful...I believe people likev Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss would approve, and be envious of what modern instruments can produce!
