My dad bought one new off the showroom in 04, he only rode it on one church campout and 2 hunting trips then parked it in his garage. He gave it to us a couple years ago with 17 hours on it. Unfortunately he never treated any fluids for storage so we had to strip it down and go through everything on it and replace all hoses and rubber parts, the oil and trans fluid turned to sludge, had to replace brake calipers and tires. Got everything cleaned up and put back together. Its been a great quad since then.
I have an 04 400 awd with 1093 hours, 6700 miles. It's been awesome.
I like when you guys mod the older stuff like this.
I have a 2004 sportsman and I just fixed the stuck throttle cable. I’m gonna test it out later next week.
I have a 99 sportsman 500 similar to that with 27,000 miles on it, still runs strong! Great machines
Gotta love Polaris's
Really looking forward. Keep up the good work.
Funny enough I'm building up a 05 400 for my mother in law, one thing I hated was the factory rake from the rear stiff factory springs. Ended up doing a 2" lift on the front to level it and hold a plow properly. Bike has 40 hours of run time on it and after a carb rebuild along with some wear items it runs pretty good. I liked how quiet the 400's were factory. My 17 570 is loud by comparison I wish it was quieter like this old 400
I got a 04 sportsman 500 from my dad who passed away last year and I put some life back into it is there away I could send a picture to u guys
Sorry for your loss. Feel free to post photos of your vehicles on our Facebook page.
I have an 04 sportsman 400 as well, and that sucker performs like a champ, it is faster, and does way better in the mud than my 2014 Sportsman 500 or my Ranger 800. These machines are amazing
Good video!
Finally thank you
I have the same bike. I've had it for 10 years and never let me down
When r u gonna start this build series
Cool video! Do you know where I can get those rack extenders??
What about the project and racer???
Do you guys have an XMR Renegade episode?? If so, what one?
Where can I get the winch mount for the quad I have the same one please help if u can ASAP
I have that kind in green
Cool
It looks like a Trail Boss
Love how he says in the beginning “just picked up this new sportsman, 0 miles”, but then at 0:43 he says “yea this has probably seen a lot of miles, hard miles”. Check your facts
“Brand New”
I got the 2014 sportsman 400 u can't destroy it
Donde puedo conseguir punta de eje de atras lado izquierdo de este foro traçk y manual de el si tiene algún número de serie me lo puede enviar se lo agradeceré gracias bonita tarde
Please show us how to do a rad relocate or if anybody knows reply😂
kind of ironic, im in the middle of fixing one of these.lol
Need more grizzly vids.
Looking to buy 660 or 700 raptor which is better for my wife
nascar legends I would not suggest either even though I’m a kid it will be to much power for your wife
i prefer the fuel injected 700. my griz had same motor and it was bulletproof.
I like when you do videos on atvs . To many side by side stuff out there. Not all of us can afford or even want a side by side. I stop subscribing to atv world for this reason. All they did was side by side stuff. Any way keep up the great atv videos. Thanks
IT"S NOT A B I K E !!!!!...it's a quad.....bi------two...... quad------4!
I had a 98 Sportsman 500. So glad I ditched that thing. Dealing with the finicky elcecro-magnetic 4wd system and god awful strut system up front was always a huge pain. You always had to take off way too much stuff (plastics especially) to get at anything.
They are super slow
Justin Carico how fast u trying to go
Garrett Bedford fast enough to stay with a group of grizzlys
What do you expect? It's the size and pretty much weight of the sportsman 700 but a lot smaller of an engine. It will still do 45 to 47 mph, if you want to go faster than that you have to pay to play.
Ya so let me ride it for about ..oh 20 minutes or so ... it'll shit the CV's as quick as the brakes come apart in a water crossing ....yes I've owned one .
Totally lost count of how many times I've towed these Polaris Dollar Store junk quads out of the bush with smoked belts, cv failures and transmission carnage ...... you guessed with my Honda .
